Just the most basic of paint is on presently, but It will get the same full treatment the others have shown so far! Full camo, muddy skirts, dirty mufflers, and an extra antenna. Decals and the company mark towards the forward skirting bedore making it all dirty.

hmmmm looks snice if somewhat small compared to your more truescale tanks now... also i am thinking about bunnyears when i see thze first pic....
would you say the turrets guns are 40k usable? or would it be neccary to bulk them up a bit?

nice of you to show some profil on the turret tho^^
by the way, do you fix your sponson guns or are they turnable still if the latter how do you do it? painting and gluewise?

The cannons are the 1/35the scale 47mm high velocity guns(You get double iof them in the Char B1 bis kit!)

Auto-cannons at best but all wh40k guns are too big! Leman Russ Battle cannon years ago was declared 120mm but when compared to larger scaled 1/35th kits it dwarfs the 120mm of say the Abrams and Leopard kits!

I wanted the turret to show off it's sides so all could know it wasn't just a mock up!

All of my sponsons are glued very carefully, this way, they all can pivot to point front-to-sides. Very careful amounts of glue on the housing parts, first, I glue the bottom and side wall, the, the "front" slip in the gun, and then carefully glue the top in. Takes me roughly 20mins based on the glue.

tried it with an old predatore once and i did fairly well, but then when i had to make a rhino i screw up with the doors... so they´re now fully glued...but the sponsons would have hurt me deeply if glued fix...

Yhankfully, they at GW said they understand things may be glued, is why their main book shows how the weapons should point towards. ^^

I will be using a Punisher, a regular russ, Hellhound and hydra with chimeras in an upcoming tourney, I will take the camera and take pics along the way this sunday. HQ cmnd sqd, and three vet sqds with one commanded by Sgt. Bastonne(Vasily) as I need a melta squad that can get 'er done!

Thanks Vik, the other list pulled a tie against one of the Nid lists that I am expecting to fight this weekend, nice to practice and all! I changed out a Vanquisher and two sentinels as they didn't make such a good impact on the fight, that and the Manticore, that was too erratic and low ammo.

hmmm as i never played a game i think having a tie against nids would seem a bit anti fluffy...cant imagine the roaches walking back home saying something like: bugger next time we get them... or that was a close shave for me taste chap...

well but i think its kind of hard to play fluffy games, or am i mistaken?

Apoc and friendly games can be rather fluffy. Tourney games are well, just sporting like events. Besides, this kid plays very odd tactics most of the time with his nids.

cool army and just for some little 1500 points... well IGs shows again it is an army for the well enowed ... all that heavy armor costs a tn even on ebay...
looking nice nearly all painted up... but i have to ask with so much heavy firepower aren´t the blobs mere cannon fodder?
and a question to gameplay and rules? the shovelblade on lots of your tanks is it realy worthwhile? for me these are a bit of a spoiler as the tanks then have a kinda construction site look then...but if the rules are that good to use them, well then this is understandable...

They only need to get out if the transports get wrecked/destroyed. Or I have a tasty target to kill with the special weapons, 2 sqauds have Heavy flamer and 2 x flamers, the third has 3 x meltas!

Dozerblades allow a difficult terrain roll of 1 to be re-rolled to avoid immobilization in terrain. well worth the points to get my lads to where they need to be! ^^

For those wondering, YES, Old Crow IS a cast-on-demand company - and a ONE-MAN operation (mostly).

Jez's sculpts are good, and they are pre-finished for you (pre-sanded flat so that halves mate properly) so all you really have to do is glue them together.

I have two of the Sabres, two Claymores, a couple of Trojans and Geckos. I've had no issues with his castings - although atm, he is experiencing delays with the product (BIG WARNI

I've picked up a few bits of Old Crow stuff in the past as well. The quality is superb. Makes any delay well worth the wait

I do like the fact that the tanks are more of a low slung modern style. I have enough WWI/II style Leman Russes and am looking for other odd-balls all of the time that do NOT look like the Leman Russ.

well i would like to see one day a truescale leman russ, these tincans are way to small... i had these issues about scale even when i was a little kid and my grandpa wanted me to play with a train set... scales weren´t always so fitting and my fantasy and creativity got stuck always when scale didn´t fit...

I figured with a 3 week process time it was cast on demand. I am however more than a bit disappointed about the increased time frame. By the old time I should have had mine next week sometime. Guess thats not the case now. That really sucks...Im out of things to build and no money to buy anything else right now. That was going to be my hobby fix for the near future.

I dont think that warning was up a couple weeks ago when i ordered mine, so maybe I got lucky. Have to wait and see.

Vik: I know, look at a 1/35 scale Leopard, it has an exact scale 120mm, then look at the Leman Russ, it is supposed to be a 120mm cannon, looks more like 205mm or more. Someone over-compensating at GW?
