Since I am thinking human tanks that are not Leman Russ, and NOT skimmers, I would like the Old Crow Tread and wheeled versions. Like the http://www.oldcrowmodels.co.uk/25mm/sabre/sabretl.gif But with different barrels that he makes that would look like something appropriate for battle and auto-cannons and such. Low slung, and this gem

Reminds me of the CV090 and the new Puma from Germany.

i hope they work for you, for my taste they appear to be too much streamlined, i lkie the boxy looking tanks better...also i think the oldcrow models lack a bit too much details...well i guess there is alwaays the option to rivet them up...

Never fear Vik, I have lots of old Leman Russ accessory bits to put on the things to make them a little more "seasoned"

That, and I already did the Vehicle Design Rules for them,,,,,Pricey, but the good old chimera is also expensive in VDR 124pts!!!

Although sponsons would look silly on the main tanks, many have made their Lemans' w/o sponsons making them look "slim". The Old Crow Tanks would likely be griped at due to the lower silhouette than the Leman(I expect they will come to the no higher than the are the turret attaches to.)

The good thing about the Old Crow stuff is that you can always ADD more crap to them.
It gets tedious removing all of the rivets and skulls with spiky skulls from GW models.

For those wondering about the size of the OC Sabre tanks ... Here's a pic (another user on Lead Adventure forum, NOT mine).

It is flanked by two "Claymore" 8 wheeled carriers. They are approximately 7" long (can't tell from front) and 2 1/2" wide. The sabre is 6" long and approx 4" wide.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Mad4 Minis, Google has places where you can get the Mazurka cheap as a Chimera kit! I may just do so as they make great looking Tank hunters!

Chromedog, is just a aesthetic thing as Vik likes steam punk and other older tech looking things. He knows I will be putting the Old Crow stuff under the knife.

at chromedog and shaso, the oldcrow tanks have the same problem with me and potatos...

crazy fella me^^

see its like this i dont like `tatos and even so when cooked right they can taste well and i like the meal then, but give me the choice and and i will choose rice, pasta or even bread...
now the oldcrow tanks look in your pic chromedog really really good, so i am bound to bow humbly to say i have seen my error^^
only thing i would love see more is a bit wider version of the 8 wheelers as i tend to like more truescale tanks even more...

Thanks Snurl, I am well aware of the Ontos, a very odd tank indeed. http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.militaryimages.net/photopost/data/716/M50_Ontos.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.militaryimages.net/photopost/showphoto.php/photo/7771&h=373&w=587&sz=74&tbnid=C2xvgziOt2jqCM:&tbnh=86&tbnw=135&prev=/images%3Fq%3DOntos&zoom=1&q=Ontos&usg=__fnVvrQ8ttvipk4mnbkAO74EMBIM=&sa=X&ei=4MlTTa-xJZSosQOjj7TmCA&ved=0CDoQ9QEwAw

Still havent gotten my Sabre yet. Monday was the 3 week mark. Guess I didnt get in before the rush.

Dammit.

I wish more places in the US would carry some of this European stuff. This waiting several weeks or months to get stuff really annoys the hell out of me.

Sadly, most of the things I want right now have to come from across the pond.

Dammit again.

Yeah, but if I heard correctly, he likes to send out quality for that price. So, getting smoothed out, ready to glue and paint minis may be worth it.

Hang in there Mad4, hang in there. And thanks again for reminding me about the Mazurka Tank.

Just the kit, but shasolenzabi's make an excellent proof of concept.

the crew serves probably as count as balls...

that is a merger of more than two tanksystems isn´t it? i see at least twoo, the regular elephant i saw at ebay looks a bit different if i recall correctly...

but all comparrision aside this is a hell of a due to see...in a battlefield at least a sight not to be seen for long...

so you want to imprint yourself on my grandchildren too?...mighty big wishlist you have? considering your such a naughty boy i cant see santa bringing you your wishfullfillment this year...
and boy would my granchildren either be then big national heros with the aquilla on their forehead or rather complete sods??? one never knows...

If you're still wanting tank suggestions, and want something totaly different and challenging to convert to nuke all those pesky titans that seem to be around in apocalypse games nowadays, how about converting one of these into your very own ordinatus machine?

The only downside is even the smaller 1/72 one clocks in at 110cm long... you may need to use a bigger table!!

Vik: LOL! Just saying that anyone standing too close to the ramp when it slams down to the ground would have that happen to them! Not necessarily anyone in particular!

Yeah, I was going for the old self propelled artillery like the M-109, or older M-112/M-7/Elefant. I forgot to snap a pic of the top, there are pressurization vents up there.^^

Deadricbob: I had given it some thought, that would look like a planetary defense mega lazer!

Not really what I would consider a "cross country" model.
More like a fairly flat terrain vehicle and or low roll country as the main gun is so low slung and out front like that, just asking to get stuck in something like river banks or other short runs like trenches.
