Yes! Would be a great add.

2.) Sarah Connor (Terminator)

Yep, another one I'd like.

3.) Terminator/ Terminatrix

Nice idea, but not so sure as a survivor, maybe if they add Maniacs in a later edition.

4.) River Tam (Firefly/Serenity, see also Hasslefree Miniatures)

Thats kung fu girl aye? (Not really watched Firefly, but caught Serenity once) and yeah, if its her, aye, would get her.

5.) Hellboy (Hellboy)

Not sure he fits, but I'd be damned up for a survivor of him just becasue what the hell.

6.) Buffy the Vampire Slayer and team

Yes, one hundred and one percent, Make sure Willow and Giles are in there, hell if they want to up the ante and add Vampires at some point as antagonists, Spike and Angel wannabes would be fun as well.

7.) Scooby Doo and team (rules only, miniatures by Hasslefree Miniatures)

Yeah, but make in the Ventrue Brothers version, they where so funny and would sum up the madness of the Zombipocalyspe, rather than 'Jinkies' and scooby snacks.

8.) Batman

He's gotta have Robin with him, or a Jason Todd Robin Zombie.

9.) "Snake" Plissken (Escape from New York)

Its basically a fail if we don't see this guy at some point.

10.) Bruce Lee

Same as Snake.

11.) Ripley (Alien)

Yep, agree.

12.) Jackie Chan

Not sure you'd want him and Bruce, if they wanted to be non-PC, do a Zombie Bruce and Survivor Jackie.

13.) Shaun and Ed (Shaun of the Dead)

I was surprised we didn't get him as a Stretch, he's got to be in the expansion, Cricket bat and all.

14.) The Ice Hockey players from Hell (Dogma)

Not so hot on these ones, probably not one I'd be bothered by.

15.) Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger in Predator)

Yes, but I want Billy as well.

16.) James Bond

Hmm but which one, Sean or Roger. None of the others would be worth paraodying.

17.) Kickass, Big Daddy and Hit-Girl (Kickass)

Not a fan of the film, so I'd not be interested in these.

18.) Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson in Zombieland) plus Bill Murray as Zombie

Oh yes, to both.

19.) McGyver

A zombie holding a paperclip and a rubber band??

20.) Captain America

Yeah I could go for Cap.

21.) El Mariachi (Antonio Banderas in Desperado)

Yeah, another good to go.

22.) Jake and Silent Bob as Zombies (Clerks)

Oh yes.

On top of that, a Wayans character would be great, either Keenen's Jack Spade or Marlon's Shorty Meeks.

SG1 would be entertaining since they would just try to shoot everything, spawning all the zombies in the world. Then come up with some "saving the world idea" in the last 5 minutes of the game that would take out all the zombies and win the day

Other than that... ED209? Maybe someone who is unarmed, like Dr Who (Ted Baker version) would make an interesting character to play.

So I'm guessing that the expansion is more than funded, meaning they won't need to do this again next year.

Hmm, I don't know! I don't want this to become the default for the launch of any game... if they've raised 750K, they should Not need another Kickstarter to get the expansion out.

I don't know how Kickstarter screens things, and if they'd even be allowed to... but this is plenty of funding to get this game and all its' peripherals out, I think.

It doesn't hurt anything, it gives customers more options, and allows a pre-order mechanism which gives the company an idea of how large an initial print run they'll need.

I don't see the down side.

I swore as long as there was no Bruce Campbell model I would not back it.

Of course the last day they throw that sucker into the mix and the fate of $140 in my wallet was sealed...

I think the gameplay looks less than stellar as it seems to be yet another badly implemented co-op game like so many before it.

But the models look great and you get a fair amount of them in the game. 29 unique sculpts in 114 minis, plus a bunch of other extras such as clothing, etc. at the $140 level.

So even if the game design really is craptacular, it is worth it for the component cost and other assorted stuff alone if you have a use for them.

The only real drawback I am seeing is waiting until 2013 for the alternate zombie models. When I paint models for boardgames I like to do them all at one time so I will be waiting until about this time next year before I bother. I am less than pleased by this but thats just a personal grumble.

There are plenty of great zombie miniature games out there that the components of this one will be useful for.

Even if the game itself isn't good I am very pleased with the deal I feel I've gotten.

No reason you couldn't play it out now. Plenty of figures out there for the characters, and plenty of good rule systems too...

I think you could use Strange Aeons without too much modification, Fear And Faith would work well too.

I don't see the down side.

It creates exclusivity that I consider poisonous to the entire nature of this type of game. If someone plays an introductory game with a friend the week after release that convinces them to buy their own copy so they can play with their friends, shouldn't they be able to do so? Making half the playable characters only available to preorders goes against that.

So is this like the highest ever funded table top kinda game to date? still can't believe it got so high, they all must be cackling with glee .. I thing Ogre is gonna be the next big one to watch

Wish I could have gotten in on this one but the cash just wasn't on hand.

Also makes me kinda wonder... they had so many backers.. did great on Kickstarter, but will it do great in stores? Or did the majority of the folks that would buy it, already back it?

I don’t see the problem with pre-order bonuses (which is what these things essentially are). Limited edition miniature releases aren’t exactly new. I mean, I couldn’t go to Adepticon (no money, opposite side of the planet), yet I don’t feel the event is ‘toxic’ or creating a culture of ‘exclusivity’ for releasing a limited edition model that I’d love to get yet can’t.

Take away these sorts of bonuses and you kinda remove the point. Why bother backing it ahead of time if you’re getting nothing out of it. Might as well just buy it when it comes out.

Fear and Faith is my prime candidate.

For those in the know, if you look at the profiles in the back of the book for zombies and zombie hunters, you may be surprised to see the profiles for nearly every model in the game so far. Running zombies, fat zombies, etc.

Highly underrated system. Great skirmish game engine.

Because you want them to know the demand is there, so the game actually gets made? Because they're giving you a discount? Because they threw in an extra 31 zombies, six characters and their zombified version you'd otherwise have to buy separately, and extra feelies like the lithograph, shirt and dice?

I am kind of a huge board game nerd now, being one of numerous reasons why I do not frequent dakka much any more.

That said I have played a fair amount of board games and co-ops seem to be, for the most part, either badly implemented at best or crapfests at worst.

If the video is anything to judge the game by (and it should be seeing as how it is a promotional and semi instructional video) then the game will be fun for the first few goes, but will get really dry after that. Take your actions - populate areas with zombis when applicable - finish turn - Take zombie turn - rinse and repeat.

This, of course, is modified by scenario special rules... but the AI of the game seems fairly unoriginal, like most co-operative board games. This does work in this games favor since you are only fighting zombies who are by an large identical plebeians who only differ by visual cues for their minor differences of speed or toughness, but still lacks a lot of oomph that could be done in the game. By co-op standards it is more of the same with slight variations.

The main focus of the game is not the mechanical design, but the aesthetic design. The miniatures are dead sexy and give the consumer a decent chance to own miniatures of famous pop culture icons on top of a heap of walking dead.

The game could be outstanding. But the video doesn't convince me it is so if when it arrives it is a great game. Awesome. if not, well, I wasnt planning on using the components for the game they were made for anyways so no loss.

I don't want my comment to be taken the wrong way- I've had a great time watching all the Kickstarters lately, and I think it's opening up a lot of possibilities for things to happen that couldn't have otherwise.

However, to take the example to an extreme, it would not have the same appeal to me if every single board game about to be released was on Kickstarter.

The appeal is getting in on something early, getting the bonuses that come with it, helping it get off the ground, being an early adopter, etc etc.

Hence an expansion pack for Zombicide not fitting that bill for me... just my opinion, of course, but I think I'd be all zombied out . Not to mention that a large number of the models that were stretch goals for THIS kickstarter, come out at the same time as the expansion. If they had a kickstarter for the expansion, with stretch goals, when would those additional models come out...?

You can see how it would get out of control, and all I'm saying is, with $750K, I think that's enough to put out a board game AND it's expansion, particularly since many models being sent at the same time as the expansion were already funded through this one, and then some.
