There were several rumors about 6th edition, the percentages were wrong, but several others were indeed very accurate.

Notice that after two certain members stopped posting "rumours"*, two notable changes have occured in the Warseer 40K Rumour forum:
1) It has gotten a lot friendlier, and
2) the average quality of the stuff posted has increased dramatically.

Not so long ago there was monkey poo all over the place and now lots of good stuff keeps rolling in.

Things are looking up.

I can't believe this hasn't been stickied.

Nah, I just keep it updated and try to keep my bumps limited to when I do a bunch of updates at the same time. Monday mornings are big bump days for me since I generally have all the weekend rumors and confirmations to take care of.

Can we please start putting a time limit on some of these "pending" rumors? I mean if a person says "Item XYZ will be released in July" how long after July passes before the rumor gets changed to "False"?

For example, anyone who's been paying any sort of attention could extrapolate that Grail Knights and Questing Knights are likely to get a combined plastic kit of five knights at whatever the current price point is for those type of kits. So, when a person claims that, "Grail and Questing knights will be available as a single combo kit of five Knights in July 2013", why is that rumor still marked as pending when "November 2013" passes and no kit has been released?

How about instead we give such rumors a three month grace period? This way by the time November rolls around the rumor is marked as false and should the kit actually be released in February, we can revisit if it should be changed to "True - Wrong date" or not.

Otherwise, yeah, i could get on board with that idea of some sort of time limit (and it could get me to do that proof read ive been meaning to do as well...)

I chose 2013 as an example, but it probably would have been better to use 2012.

Thought that might be the case.... Ill see what i can do over the weekend, but im coming down with a cold (saying that, surely that be a wonderful excuse not to go outside in the freezing cold...)

Okay, big update. I think I caught up all the date ones. I also went through and false'd a bunch that were on the fence but I think will never happen.

Ex: CSM with slots for legion icons on their shoulder pads

If they happen, I will reverse it, but some of these are so far out and did not occur with the release so I find it very unlikely.

Let me know what you think and if anyone spots any others that will probably never happen, let me know.

Stickymonkey's rumors need to be updated to reflect the electronic media releases. It is painfully clear that his predictions surrounding the iTunes releases are nothing more than speculation. Still, he made them and they should reflect in his overall true/false record. Given release dates over the past several months, we should have December's releases in the next day or two and can update those rumors shortly.

I would suggest that when the rumour is just the date, for example it says that a model we know is due for release (ex: Dark Eldar bomber) will be out a specific month, then hitting the exact month or one before or after is TRUE. Up to 3 months off is PARTLY TRUE and anything more than that is FALSE.

That is for rumours where the ONLY content is the date and which would invariably happen sooner or later anyway.
