Ah, well two fans on a model this size would be very clumsy indeed.

Think of it like a hovercraft or fan boat. Antigravity drives provide the lift, the fans and thrusters provide maneuvering. Also, Wizards.

What about a Y shaped upper strut, leading to 2 SMALL ones . Photoshop it first maybe, but I think it will look much more balanced!

Visually it IS balanced. It just kinda screws with physical expectations.

Yeah, the side profile looks awesome... it's just when you see the fan assembly properly it starts to look all front-heavy.

I'm wondering if a longer tail would help balance it somewhat.

Otherwise, a longer body with the rotor assembly sitting on the roof could still look pretty cool.

I like the added fins, but also the sheer absurdity of the single fan.

Its not like any of Geedubs flyers are realistic.

As it is, though, while the individual parts are all awesome, it just doesn't look functional.

I like it without the little fins, but i guess i can leave them off. Depending on the price when posted (finally being in Australia pays off) I will probably get this for a second Talon for my DeathWatch Marines or as a Dark Angel Flier Proxie.
My army is full of kitbashes and count's as so it wouldnt be that out of place.

Hmm. I kind of liked the little fins on the back even if they were pointless. How would it look though with a slightly more elongated fuselage and longer wings?

Lengthening the fuselage would be a major re-design. Not going to do that.

I liked the little purposeless fins quite a bit.

I also like the big giant fan. If you guys want the Puppetswar flyer, you should just buy that (and I own one, it's nice). if you want a giant turbofan one, you should buy this instead (and I will when there is, I know you're tired of hearing this, US distribution).

Also, how did things work out with that clampy handle? That was a great idea though I think it might work out a lot better in laser cut acrylic. I know the edges of the MDF models I own will only take so much handling before they delaminate.

I'll put the purposeless silly fins back in, but only because there's going to be lots of room on the sheet.

I actually really like the latest version . The prior one with the 2 fins is interesting- why not include them as optional pieces? I think they should be Smaller, though! Not going for "silly" .

Nice tweaks . I seriously may order this along with the heavy vehicle when both are in the store, and I definitely didn't feel that way at the start. Sweet!

A few tweaks to do yet, but pretty happy. This is just a quickie test build to check for fit and stuff.

I thought the renders made it look a little stubby, but the final model looks great.

Now how about a police version with a spotlight?

I agree... when can I buy the razor worm, heavy tank, and this flyer together Mousemuffins? Would be sweet if it was prior to Thanksgiving and the craziness that is the holidays

I think we've got a winner with this one. Making the fan rotate like that now makes it look like the fan (turbine?) propels the vehicle, rather than being the part that makes it fly (I think you did mention anti-grav engines earlier).

I'm stunned at how fast you go from concept to physical model. Looks great too!

Yeah... wow. True. MDF/HDF is PROBABLY quite easy to set up if you have software and a good machine available.

I think I have the design finalized.

Added: optional searchlight/sensor pod for gun mount. Optional additional tail fin. plain and numbered options for ventral fins (2, 3, and 4, not shown).

Also, the fan assembly is a bit fiddly with all the angles and stuff, so I've supplied a Jig to make things easier, and a simple, one piece part for wusses and folks with all of the thumbs.

Should retail approx. $22.

Is the flight stand going to be mdf as well? or will you have clear ones?

Flight stand is MDF, and comes with the kit.

We will, in time, be offering acrylic flight stands.

I'm not a footscray fan - do you have a hawthorn one?
