Alrighty, here we go. Everything you see here was painted this month, including the tablescapes tiles you can't see

A lone guardsman sniper in a building.

What's that lurking in the shadows?

Let's take a closer look!

Here is Private Stabby, everyday hero of the guard!

Here are his best friends and protectors, ready to shoot anyone that dares try to shoot at Private Stabby.

Okay, I'm officially eligible for voting this month (not that my entry deserves any). My Chaos Cultists are done. Here's the photographic evidence:

I feel that these guys constitute "Everyday heroes" for the forces of Chaos. These guys have the duty of subverting Imperial worlds, readying them for invasions of Daemons and Chaos Space Marines. They may not be as feared as the actual Chaos Marine legions, but without these crazy fanatics, many Chaos victories would not have been possible. These particular ones usually just die and spill their blood for Khorne. After all, he cares not from where the blood flows, only that it flows. And speaking of blood, these miniatures are my first attempt at using Citadel's Blood for the Blood God technical paint. I probably skimped too much, because I was afraid of overdoing it. Overall I'm happy with the results. Not my best work, but these are just basic mooks and not character models. They sure look better than just primed plastic!

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

It was amazingly fun to make, I wish I managed to get good photos of the sniper cloak though, the digital camo came out really well. The real problem with camo, obviously, is that it should be rather bland and blend in, so good camo photographs really badly for me. There's more in the gallery.

I also cheated a bit, I didn't finish the buildings and just cropped out the parts that aren't finished. The worst news though is that I believe my name is directly after yours in the votes Jan, so people are going to have a much higher bar set already!

That said, I am not complaining, internet points don't matter, I paint for me, and even if they did it is an honour in itself to paint with you good folks, it teaches me a great deal and inspires me considerably!

I reckon Stabby will be getting a tidy tally of the votes in any which case!! The digital camo did come out really well btw. That's the thing about camo, it's supposed to blend in - I had the same thing with Larks - folk usually paint the camo cloaks really bright green - but I wanted dark and well more camoflaguey!!
Speaking of voting - is the vote thread up yet?

Hey everyone. I was so motivated to finish this month and have been doing pretty consistently on completing entries over the last few months. Sadly this month life was just too much, so hobby rightly had to take a back seat. Therefore I have failed to finish. I even had an alternative entry nearly completed but alas no. I'll do my best to be in it for June but life won't settle fully until July so we'll see.

More importantly well done everyone. There are some brilliant entries and I will thoroughly enjoy looking through the voting thread when it goes up.

GW - 670 pts || - 354 pts || - 46 pts || - 106 pts || LoTR - 400 pts (Evil) vs 0 pts (Good) || Space Hulk - 1/35 || Deathwatch Overkill - 0/50

Do you need some help putting the voting topic posts together in future, Para? I can't help this time, but if you like, next time I could have the contents for you. I just realise it's probably crunch time at uni.

Vote actually went up this afternoon, I just forgot to post the link over here:

Thanks for the offer, I'll be sure to let you know if and when I can't sort it, luckily my exams finished early enough that I could get it all done on time.

Well, we've always been pretty relaxed on deadlines and topic starts, so I certainly wasn't complaining. I just remembered it's possibly end of term.
