Hey is there anyone out there who knows a good program to get rid of viruses that is free?
I'd google it but im afraid of false sites that will put even more viruses on my computer! Thanks

I think theres a free version of avg and comodo. Check those out. Comodo works as a great shield and avg is pretty good about getting rid of things when they are on there.

The greater good needs some moo.

I'm using Microsoft Security Essentials.

I'm not sure it's the best, but it was the only one that saw the rootkit that got on my (now retired) main workstation.

Seriously, load up in safe mode with net access.

Download a-squared free virus protection and MalebytesAnti-Malware, both are awesome programs and recommended by Blizzard for anyone who gets hacked playing WoW.

I had one a few weeks back, nasty thing and they killed it dead.

Seriously. I get people coming up to me at work and asking if I can take a look at their computer and once I see their search history I want to type through a napkin.
