Thoughts? I must admit Im a tad disapointed with the giant hook arms themselves, they look roundead and non scary, I think whenever I buy one, I will have to make it look more menacing!

I'm thinking that a lot of these Legion beasts look sort of unbalanced/top heavy? not to mention I've been less than impressed with any of the new Legion models, but that's just me.

Now, the new Trollbloods on the other hand...

They do look a bit top heavy compared to the Carnivean, at least the Carniveans arms fly backwords usually keeping balance
But niether of the new warbeasts have arms as big, so it might not make as big a difference maybe.

And well, they all seem to be recasts of the Carnivean but they still look pretty brutal.
Although as I said before, that scythean will need a tad of work to make those scythes more menacing.

well, strictly speaking models only, my personal preference currently is [of the 3 you mentioned]:

1 - Circle Orboros
2 - Skorne
3 - Legion

speaking of which, PM if you wanna talk about some Circle figs on the cheap!

Wow. PP's infantry models are so great, but their monsters and 'jacks are so frigging SILLY and terribly top-heavy. How does a miniatures line like this manage to thrive when competing with stuff like Infinity, GW, or even Rackham?

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

I hate the arms... I would say swap the arms with a carnifex scything talon (maybe shorten it a little bit). then it is golden. The rounded out claw/scythe is just ugly, and that after the beautifull artwork...

Ah well, the body is rather nice, although a bit disproportioned. (but that is almost always the case...)

Because Rackham is all but dead, Infinity is a niche wargame with constant availability problems, and GW is, well, GW? Ask something harder next time, bub.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

I thought this was a big GW bug and maybe a mistake on the OP's part.

Maybe some kind of late April Fool joke to generate fan rants?

Totally disappointed in the look of this 'thing'.

Too bad it has a different product number than the Ravagore. There goes the

Not sold. The claw things are too blunt looking, and the original Carnivean looks much cooler.

Yeah, these will be metal at least at first. I'm betting the plastic kit comes later, a planning for the future kind of thing.

The detailing on the claws looks cool, but I agree that they seem a bit thick.

I'll have to see the model in person to make a final judgment. (Buy/Modify/Proxy)

Looks way too much like a carnifex, imo.

A very skinny fex, looks like a good model, perhaps a bit too much weathering on the upper shoulder spikes. The claws do look blunted but is that just because of the angle of the mini?

I love the head and the chest carpace though.

Those "claws" look terrible. They look scythy (word?) but they look like they lack any ability to actually do so. Too blunt looking. The rest of the beast isn`t too bad I guess but wouldn`t purchase one

I'm from the future. The future of space

It kind of reminds me of those foam hands/fingers people have at sporting events.

I think I'll get one and shave down or replace the big nerf claws with something a bit sharper looking.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.

I was thinking EXACTLY the same thing but didn't narrow it down to the foam fingers until I read your post.

Well done.

Woohoo! Everblight is number one! NUMBER! ONE! NUMBER! ONE! NUMBER! ONE!

The worst thing about it is that if you look at the top of the model, there's spikes with nice sharp points and fine edges. It's like they asked what the worst thing about the model was and then decided to put something to highlight it's worst feature through contrast.
