Games Workshop has posted a video demonstrating the use of the new gaming aids and accessories for Warhammer 8th Edition at this link.

I don't think they needed a video for each language if the only change is the translation of "warhammer gaming aids" at the beginning.
It's not like they say anything... ...There is just a long video with lousy music.

So... a completely useless video that is just a guy counting models underneath a template that, albeit very cool looking, is no different from what we can get for very cheap.

It's not just pointless, but boring too!

If GW's going to make a video channel, they can at least fill it with things that are of value to their consumer base. Painting tutorials, conversion/modelling tutorials (seriously, a set of GS video tutorials would kick incredible amounts of ass, and would probably increase GS sales), and even army previews would be pretty cool.

But this is GW we're talking about.

The only thing that looked useful was the charge arc marker.

And really that was from GW. I expected something more. Oh wait...

Personally, I like the new accessories. I hope they eventually come out with some 40K-themed versions as well, especially the templates and caliper.

Yeah, I'd love that calliper to be a standard release.

The only things I need out of this kit is the caliper and the charge run and 45 deg los thing. I have plenty of templates that are clear so I don't have to move it around to see if there is something under it and I have the bone dice from the last set and a bag so I might get the collectors addition big book but i don't know about the other stuff.

The Engineers Measuring Set is really cool, but quite expensive. This may be a rare time that I resist one of these types of collectibles from GW. My $5 Stanley tape measure will last nearly forever and I own a GF9 T.A.C. template too, which is cheaper and handier and about all I'll ever need.
