I would actualy do a search for any architectural modelmaking studio's in the area cause they generaly order in huge amounts of the stuff and are usualy not adverse to selling on a big sheet for a few quid/dollars as the sheets generaly cost them 50pence each

Automatically Appended Next Post:
just remebered try a search for hips High Impact Polystyrene sheet, thats what most modelmakers call it.

Hobby Town USA usually has an Evergreen display with a bunch of different supplies including card. Some independent hobby shops will carry Plastruct or Evergreen.

www.plastruct.com lists:
www.mesamodels.net
7831 East Palm Lane, Mesa - (480) 357-8800

as carrying their products.

http://www.plastruct.com/pages/USDealers.html
lists all known plastruct retailers in the US. Maybe someplace else is has it if mesa models doesn't?

an00bis, You mentioned your local hobby lobby and Michaels....

Plasticard is typically used for conversions, and is a wargaming thing. Do you have a FLGS? Where do wargamers around you go to play 40k? Might be worth checking the shop there, and if they don't have it, they can (and will) definitely order it in for you.

Most plasticard I see comes in GF9 packages. http://www.gf9.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=267

I bought one of those, that's the plasticard I use.

Plasticard actually can be found in most shops that deal with R/C vehicles, models of any type, trains and the like in addition to what GF9 brings ot the gaming community.

Just note that Plasticard is the UK trademark name which isn't used in the USA.

Truth, you see it in the US as Sheet Styrene quite a bit.

It's by no means solely a 'wargaming thing'... It's also commonly used by scratch-building railroad modellers, RC car and plane builders, military modellers and architechtural model builders... or pretty much any modeller building things from scratch or modifying existing kits.
