Cheers Sluggs! the blue in the image was abit off, basically i didnt bother to adjust the white balance and only use one lamp, heres a better picture with a update of what i did on my lunchbreak today, im not sure on the pages of the books, to be honest it was just a experiment to see if i could come up with a better method to painting them.

May i ask how you paint the blue? I am prepping the libby with sword right now, thanks.

Base coated it Regal Blue, washed with Asurmen blue, painted all raised areas again with regal blue, highlighted up by mixing skull white with regal blue (i did 3 highlights). I then did a final wash with the blue again, heavily watered down this time (about 50/50)

I will certainly be interested in seeing what you do with the lib with sword, nice model.

I was planning to do silver, with the zig zag thingy blended from yellow to orange (bottom to top) to try and recreate a sort of power lack towards the end.

Hmm sounds very cool, will be interested to see how that turns out

Here we go, pretty much finished now, not exactly sure what else i should do with the staff yet, might paint a blue or a orange on it or i might just leave it as it is, overral im pretty happy with the result.
