After i painted up a new power armoured librarian i decided i wanted to change my list to include him in so i swaped out my terminator lib, any thoughts would be awesome so i can tweak this list, powers im not 100% sold on yet, i am thinking i might put the lib with a tactical squad and drop them down and cause some damange (then i might be tempted to take avenger).

A few suggestions:

For Assault Cannons, you generally want to avoid non-TL varieties. A multimelta is a much better option for a Dread in a pod. MM + Heavyflamer more precisely.

For Terminators in Land Raiders, you probably want Assault Terminators, TH/SS. I'll take a 3++ over 2 bolter shots any day of the week.

The Librarian would be well served to run Avenger and Null Zone. The Terminators have enough brutality that he won't need Might of the Ancients, and since Terminators make things take invulnerable saves, it stands to reason that you might want some way of negating that. Run into enemy Terminators or another hard hitting unit? Leave the Librarian in the vehicle and Null Zone it.

Vanilla Assault Marines suck, but Chaplains make them suck less.


You're really lacking antitank, specifically melta weapons. Your ranged antitank amounts to a couple MLs, a meltagun, and a couple Assault Cannons. Meh...

Suicide drop dreads are best vanilla. Avenger or vortex if you are feeling chansey may do you better than might. Can you drop the scouts to get melts and combimelta in a squad to waste armor in your drop pod assault?

Yeah,
Ive been wanting to make a BR list for a while now (just dont know where to start). Only thing I can come up with is a Libaraian and some Dreds. Only thing I would like to see is...(I am no expert I just see what I like and use it)

1. Drop pods
2. Another Libaraian (maybe 1 defesive and 1 offensive)
3. I dont think the Scouts are needed, buff up on more terminators?
4. No Commander Borale, you already lost becuse you dont have "epic speech"

I wasnt going to drop the dread, i just bought the dreads drop pod so i could drop marine squads first turn rather than have them come at random times. Do you guys thing this is a bad plan? in which case then i can certainly change that dreadnought for a multimetla one (i will see if i can get my hands on a heavy flamer )

My lib also wasnt going to go with the terminators, done that before with the assault terminators however i seem to play alot of tau at the moment so generally i get one assault of and spend the rest of the game chasing tau :(

Basically i had a bigger squad of scouts however i drop some to buff the assault marines, was would it be better to have them at about 7/8 and have the assault marines arounf 8 man (even if im starting to get pissed off with them :( )

I could certainly but a couple of combi-meltas in my tactical squads, my only concern is if all my squads are firing at tanks when i drop them im just going to get nuked the following turn.

I do have a couple of jump pack Chaplains so i could try and fit one in.
