From what I've read, very few (if any) chapters have anything to do with cats....Why is that? Cats are awesome!

So I was thinking, maybe I should make them! I was thinking...Orange bodies(with highlights of darker red to represent fur), painted on cat-ears (black ^ with pink), Green cat eyes(O_o) and tiny little black marks on their feet and hands to represent claws.

What do you think? I don't own any orange paint right now, so I'll use Iyanden Darksun to test it out on a Chaos spesh Marine head and torso tonight. Stay tuned!


Oh, and I was thinking..They could just be a chaos legion who worship the great whimsical and stubborn god of "Wyskherz"

Sounds interesting. I've seen a couple of threadskicking about here and on the P&M blog board about Sabretooth based marines with some good results.

Jokes aside, I've already made a couple shoulder pads, and I plan on making transfers tonight with this:


Except,you know,painted.... The face was hard to do, because I used a dumbass CSM head with Inset eyes, so It was impossible to paint the cat's iris. Also, the pipes and what not really got in the way of the whiskers, so I might just cut them off, or add wire to look like whiskers

As long as you don't mind them being the butt of jokes for a long time to come, I say go ahead. Just give us pics so we can meme Cat marines

I would like to point out that the chapters who have a animalistic theme or link in their theme ie salamanders and space wolves have these links due to the mythology or history of what games workshop was copying to begin with ie space wolves are norse/viking and the wolf link is due to the norse/viking people wearing lots of animal fur and having lots of mythology about wolves themselves ie Ragnarock!

Okay, got some pics. What the heck is wrong with me? This is a 12 megapixel camera, and I can't even get the piece of crap to focus! Anyway, here's what I whipped up in about 30 minutes. If you can't see them, there's macaroni Orange highlights, to show texture. Like the color, but not happy about how it turned out.
