I'm sure this has been done before, but I just want to get a feel for how popular armies are.

Thanks for posting!

I wonder that WH/DH get a new codex as they are marginal armies.

I currently play Orks, though I've got about 1500 points of Space Marines that I deeply regret wasting my time and money on

I have about 8,000 points of space marines, and about 2,000 points of pure grey knights. Only like 1/3 is painted though... working on it!

After the orbital strikes, Thunderhawk bombardments, Whirlwinds, Vindicators, fusion and starfire and finally Battle Brothers with flamers had finished cleansing the world of all the enemies of Man, we built a monastery in the center of the largest, most radioactive impact crater. We named the planet "Tranquility", for it was very quiet now.

meh, there's a difference between GOOD sm players and BAD sm players. Its a shame the newbs give us a bad name.

lets face it though, who DOESN'T secretly want to be a space marine?

Wonder why more havent chosen SPEHS MAREENZ?
Currently playing mostly 1k sons. DH are at the paint shop. Orks are the army i use for competitve non paint job tournies. WH are the new edition and need a codex and a handful of other things to get them going.

Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel, its just a freight train coming your way!
Thousand Sons 10000
Grey knights 3000
Sisters of battle 3000

I paly my SM armies, BT, BA and a version of SW marines. Just recently dug out my old eldar army and in process of fixing them up. I used to play DE but I think time has forgot them for now and my tyranids are now collecting dust. I think more so out of no spare time to actualy play, fulltime job+2 year old daughter+naggin missus = no fudgeing time to me self, that and getting a game with someone is pretty hard due to the nature of my job.

I also play the SPEHS MAREENZ! YAY!! nothing can stop them, I overwhelm the enemy with my metal bwakes(sp) lol .

I'm kind of jumping on the bandwagon, I mainly play a 3k CSM army with about 5k points of Raven Guard in the dust bin

But I've been converting my SM's to SPEHS MAREENZ, so hopefully I'll be able to sweep some players off the board

I would have liked to have voted dark eldar, but I haven't taken them off of my shelf for a game in about 8 years (all the time has been spent waiting for a new book).

And yes it is true that newbies ruin space marines for every serious player who playes them. Hands down, they have the most powerful book, but many experienced players look down on them as a newb army. Sad but true...

Lots of Tau, a growing Nid army, and I've dipped my toes into collecting Eldar. Xenos FTW! I also hate to admit it, but I do have a bunch of old space marines collecting dust somewhere... *curses GW for influencing young boys with imperial propaganda*

Marines, Salamanders to be precise. I have been playing for a while, but only recently begun collecting my own army. I would like to play others, including Sisters of Battle, and the Inquisition forces (waiting for the codex situation to get sorted out there). I also want to play Orks, Necrons, IG, and Tau.

No force on this nor any other world could get me to play Eldar, Dark Eldar, or Tyranids.

I don't know Jimsolo, I've faced against some pretty scary Nid armies. Sure they're easy to kill, but not when they outnumber you 5:1 haha

Space Marines all the way. Even if they are no where near as hard as the fluff suggests. Can't go wrong with with good old marines, even chaos marines, until the current codex anyway, they took all the fun out of them, and I had to slink back to the emperor, curse the powers that be! Anyway why the hell can Marines without helmits not spit that lovely acid they produce into the faces of their unwitting foes. That would be a hoot.

Orks orks orks orks.......and so on

Started with RTB001, Pre FOC (ie. 3rded.) i played 19 TDA models, with Capt n libby in TDA (pre Deathwing) w/ 5 oop landspeeder for air support.. DYI : stolen name from a speedmetal band Stormtroopers of Death. the Eldar in the 2nd, and Orks in the 3rd (Evilsun then Kult of) Missed the the end of the 3rd and all of the 4thed. and currently, in the building, gathering phase of a "proper" Space marine collection. (still a toss up about which, codex chapter, but i've been leaning towards Ultra marines over Crimson fist, but i've also been thinking about the Invaders or the iron lords...)
