I'm trying to make miniatures for a Fallout PnP RPG campaign. My question is, what should I use to make miniatures? I was thinking about using Warhammer 40k parts from GW, but wanted to know what might be a better company and brand to use?

You'd be best of sculpting them yourself. Marine power armor is far too smooth for something like Brotherhood armor, and there aren't any really good parts for raiders. I've actually been looking for good looking Mad Max-esque raiders for a while now, but no dice so far. Wargames Factory zombies would work really well for Feral Ghouls though - they already look pretty decayed and they're wearing rags. Come to think of it, the upcoming Wargames Factory greatcoat guys look a little like the NCR. Get some replacement rifles from Maxmini or somesuch and you could get some decent results.

You could work with some IG guys to make the lone wonderer. I have been looking around a lot for some even home made ones but there are none that I could find.

I'm kinda blanking on what non-GW models would work best at the moment.

But the first thing that comes to mind are Necromunda models. Maybe Van Saar for Vault dwellers and the other gangs could serve as raiders.

Standard Cadian IG would be passable for NCR troops.

Ogres or Ogryns would be decent supermutants.

Sweet Jesus, Nurgle and Slaanesh in the same box!?
No, just Nurgle and Slaanesh, Jesus will be sold seperately in a blister.

Pig Iron Production does a whole load of apocalyptic looking models. Check out their "kolony renegade" models (I think they are).

Calgar what fallout stuff are you trying to find models of?

If you don't mind using non-GW models, i would recommend you check out em4 miniatures as a starting point:
http://www.em4miniatures.com/acatalog/Future_Skirmish.html

A few of their Savage/Scavenger models.

Also if you search for "fallout" on the following forum, you will find a number of great project logs.

Those scavengers were sculpted WAAAAAAAAAAY back in the day by Mark Coppelstone for a game Ral Partha came out with called future Wars IIRC, I bought every thing they made back then. Looks like EM4 picked up their old molds. Mark as "rescuplted" them along with pretty much all the line he did for them as well as more and hase them all for sale on his site. Here is the link , hope it helps you out. http://www.copplestonecastings.co.uk/range.php?range=FW
