Where can i buy Casino dice that aren't leviathan? i'd preffereably like a custom dice set but by god those dice are so huge!!

Casino dice tend to be large to make them easier to see and not palm. If it's proper casino dice you are after then I don't think you will get them in small sizes very easily. Might be worth googling razor dice or professional dice though.

If you are looking for balanced 'squared" edged dice that are smaller then casino dice you can pick up some professional backgammon dice. (they are quite expensive)

Most casino dice are all the same size.

On Dakka he was Eldanar. In our area, he was Lee. R.I.P., Lee Guthrie.

Ive bought quite a bit from gamestation.net, mabye 6-7 of each of the clear colors i likes (25~ dice altogether)

http://www.gamestation.net/GameScience-Blue-Moonstone-d6/M/B001GKWCUY.htm

Theyre pretty expensive (sold inked or noninked for .40 less a die but you need a ultra fine sharpie).

But theyre the best square edged dice you'll find, as far as rolling properly, and the luster and sparkle of the clear square dice.

Here's my ebay seller:

http://shop.ebay.com/godboma/m.html?_nkw=koplow&_sacat=0&_odkw=&_osacat=0&bkBtn=&_trksid=p3911.m270.l1313

If you see something you like, DO NOT BUY IT.
If you plan on buying in quantity, message him through one of the auctions and ask about a quantity discount. I don't remember the exact cost, but I got around 60 or more 16mm d6's for a DARNED CHEAP price. Shipping was reasonable, too.

If you use him, I would ask that you told him he was referred by MagickalMemories. I won't get anything out of it but, at least he'll know I kept my word (I was so pleased with the transaction, I told him that I'd be sure to suggest him to others whenever possible).

What size dice do we use in 40k? 16mm or 12mm?

I use chessex dice (the kind that come in a block of 36) but their website doesn't elaborate on size.

Alright, just discovered that the dice I use for 40k are 12mm. Now to find some 12mm square dice.

Those koplow dice are spectacular at 12mm.
When I bought mine, I mistakenly bought 16mm (I'd already had some 12 mm ones & wanted more, but I read the auction wrong). Still good, but not as good as the 12mm.
They roll EXTREMELY average. There is not an over abundant number of 1's, like whith Chessex dice.

Oh, and the good thing about the seller I linked is that, if you're willing to wait until the next time he places an order, he'll custom order colors he doesn't typically carry, if Koplow has them.

Sorry.
We only conversed via Ebay Messaging, not email.
I may be able to find it later, from home, via my PayPal history.
I don't know that he would receive any emails to that address, though. it might not be the one he uses for communication purposes.

Did you try to just send him a message through one of his auctions? I've never had to do any sort of Verification that way. Only when contacting people via their profile.

That would probably be faster, since I won't likely be able to take the time to get that information until late Saturday or Sunday.

Hi to everyone,

I am Godboma, the eBay seller that was refered in this post. Thank you MagicalMemories for this. You kept your word.

Razor sharp casino dice are expensive and big. They are 19mm in size. They sell for about 12$ to 15$ a pair. Non precision casino dice (what you will most likely find on eBay) are also 19mm dice but they sell for 6$ to 8$ a pair. Backgammon precision dice are either 16mm or 14mm and sell for about 25$ to 30$ a pair.

I currently do not carry any 12mm dice. I had no demand for them. I got a request from 2 of the members of this forum. So I will add the Koplow 12mm dice to my inventory. I will need a few weeks (get the order, then pictures, then listing). I will add them to my website (not eBay). That is www.godboma.com. I will have:

Edited (07/10/2010):

Black white; Blue white; Green white; Purple white; Red white and White black.

Thanks,
Mario

Godbama:

Something for you to consider - 12mm dice are the standard for the entire line of GW games (Warhammer 40k, Fantasy, LOTR, Gothic, etc) as well as many other gaming systems. If you establish a trade thread here on Dakka (see the trade forums) advertising them, you could well go from having 2 customers from Dakka to hundreds, then thousands as information gets around.

Probably 95% of people in our hobby use Chessex dice of one form or another, and they don't sell square dice. You could literally revamp dice in our hobby.

I currently sell the 16mm for 2.99$ for 6 dice and 5.49$ for 12 dice. Each set come in a small blue velvet style pouch.

The 12mm would be 2.69$ for 6 and 4.99$ for 12. They will also come with a pouch.

I may do other packages if needed. I placed my order and I should get it in about 2 weeks.

godboma... Not sure if you're a gamer or not. If not, you should know that we almost never buy 12 dice at a time. When we buy a "set" of dice we rarely ever buy less than 24, and 36 is not unheard of.

Heck, when I bought from you, I bought 60 at once.

If you have better prices for larger package deals, you might want to post them.

Just an FYI.

I will add in my word here. I have looked high and low for small casino dice and they are just not made. Your best bet to getting dice that roll better then the chesses are really any dice that has straight edges.

that gamestastion site is one of the only sites I have ever found to ever sell straight edge dice. They cost a little more but they do roll alot more on the average. They will roll alot more average then the rounded dic that 90% of people use but they are still slightly worse then casino dice.

Can't you see we have been abandoned? Forget matters of duty and honor to the emperor this is now a matter of pride.

Hi guys,

I am very sorry for the long delay. The order has been placed at the begining of the month but I have not received it yet. I hope to get it soon.

As you might of guessed, I am an euro boardgame player. So 2 dice is all I need... So ok, I will make bigger lot of dice for you guys. I saw 24 and 30. What would best fit your needs. I know that 12mm are sold in box of 36 by Chessex. Would that be find?

The Koplow dice I have ordered are straight edge, not razor sharp edge. They do not have sharp points but are lot less rounded than Chessex. As pointed by someone else, Gamescience (sold at Gamestation) are making the best molded random dice I seen. I have some for Role Playing games but they don't do 12mm dice with pips.

Mine would be like the one pointed out by IronfrontAlex: http://www.buncogame.com/content/12mm-translucent-clear-dice but in opaque color. And they will not cost 0.30$ per dice...

I'm in for a dozen or two of the small backgammon dice. Nice to have something that rolled reliably.

I guess I'm still a bit confused as to which is the best design per dollar spent... anyone have any experience or opinion?
