Glad you all like it. I will try and get it painted in the near future...though don't hold your breath, I far prefer converting to painting.

Ah, but if you read the entry listing for the MotF it clearly states 'replace Servo-Harness and Boltgun with Conversion Beamer' so you wouldn't have a servo arm to put it on. I did briefly consider making it similar to the Marines Smart Gun from Aliens (you know...the gimbal setup harnessy thing) but I wanted a much heavier look.

The other thing with the MotF listing is people seem to think it's ok to take a conversion beamer and a bike. As the CB is a heavy weapon I don't think this is a viable option.

Technically it is allowed (GW have said that as it has not been FAQ'd yet thay cannot stop people exploting the listing). Personally I wouldn't use a bike with a CB equipped model...to my mind it is not in the spirit of the game, and let's face it, how many Devastators have you seen ridng bikes? I don't think the MotF should even be able to take a bike when he he has a full servo harness...just way too big!

Anyway, rant over, glad you like the model.

As long as you use a sidecar bike I see no issue with having a conversion beamer on it. Come on they support 2 space marines and a heavy weapon. Beamers are carried so they can not be that big.

I love it. The cables just look... right. Exactly right. The beamer looks beefy and imposing, but still (super)man-portable. My only gripe might be using 2x AdMech shoulders, but I'm sure you have your reasons.

Yeah the shoulder Guard was a bit of a 'should I, shouldn't' I?' decision. I would be happy for suggestions. It would need to be a plastic shoulder guard though.

I love the whole look. The matching shoulder pads keep it balanced. But you could always use the other shoulder pad to be the chapter symbol. FW have just released Raven Guard shoulder pads, if your Iron Falcons have the same shape symbol you can always use one of them?

I'm going to go right on ahead and say that this is the best Master of the Forge with Conversion Beamer out there. Consider it... stolen.

Looks great. I agree, never liked the look of the original beamer - it looked advanced enough... but that it would break if you looked at it wrong.

I'll keep your conversion in mind when I have a go at making one
