Seriously.

Go see it. Right now. It's really good.

Oh and regarding the ending:
Spoiler:
I thought that because of the wobbling of the top, he wasn't in a dream anymore. I can certainly understand the camp that would say that he's in a dream (and to some extent that would make more sense) but I like the idea of the happy ending.

I have my doubts, not because it looks bad or anything (au contraire) but speaking as someone who had to watch momento 17 times before I finally figured out the plot

Watched it tonight, excellent. Ive not seen Nolan make a bad film yet.

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.

England.

Also saw it tonight and thought it was a very well executed film. The dialogue was a little clichéd and it took me about half an hour to get over how seriously it took itself. However when the Brit appeared with his set of one liners I started sit back and really enjoy it.
Its a really good film.
Go and see it

About to eat your Avatar...

Checked out the preview yesterday, and it looks pretty good.

I might wait for it to show up in the movie store though, nothing struck me as necessary viewing in a theater.

I saw it today but I am not completely sure I have it right in my head.

Spoiler:
The levels are:
The Real World : Which is the 747
The 1st Level : Yusuf's Dream as he drives around in the van
The 2nd Level : Arthur's Dream as he fights in a spinning hotel
The 3rd level : Fischers' Dream on snowy mountain
The 4th level : Cobb's Dream which was the wrecked remains of his first visit with his wife.

What I don't get is what is Ariadne supposed to be doing?
We learn from the first taste of Dream World (with Nash as the dreamer) the Architect is the Dreamer that creates the setting.
But Ariadne does nothing for the entire movie.

I am going to have to go see this again.

Spoiler:
I don't think it matters if it's the real world or not. What I got from it is that Cobb was able to let his wife go and forgive himself. He's finally at peace and able to be with his children.
Also, the architect doesn't usually go in but because she saw what Mol was doing to Cobb, she demanded that either Cobb let her accompany them (so if things with Mol got out of hand she could at least try to save the others) or show Arthur just how bad Mol was. Cobb chose to let her go with them rather than tell Arthur.

And so, due to rising costs of maintaining the Golden Throne, the Emperor's finest accountants spoke to the Demigurg. A deal was forged in blood and extensive paperwork for a sub-prime mortgage with a 5/1 ARM on the Imperial Palace. And lo, in the following years the housing market did tumble and the rate skyrocketed leaving the Emperor's coffers bare. A dark time has begun for the Imperium, the tithes can not keep up with the balloon payments and the Imperial Palace and its contents, including the Golden Throne, have fallen into foreclosure. With an impending auction on the horizon mankind holds its breath as it waits to see who will gain possession of the corpse-god and thus, the fate of humanity......

My 2 cents

Spoiler:
I think it was a 'happy' ending in that he regretted not seeing his kids' faces when he left. In the end they ran towards him when the Grandfather called them. Plus that top looked wobbly, it just didn't topple to make people think out the ending.

well the discussion the entire cinema had upon the movies finish was...ah but there was no way for him to get another machine in his last dream, so he must have successfully "woken up" but we never see him "kill" saito, and he see's his kids faces...hmmm.. i think the top was about to fall but they ended the film there too inspire exactly these debates very very clever marketing

Saw it today. Good start, then it got so tedious that I nearly walked out after about 20 minutes.

I stayed when I saw Michael Cain is in it (though he has been in plenty of bad films.)

Anyway I was glad because it picks up again and the last hour is practically a continuous action sequence.

It combines elements of a heist movie, a spy movie, and The Matrix.

Brilliant movie. Great fight scenes (especially that corridor - was anyone not smiling like a goof during that?). That those fight scenes just happened to be part of a really imaginative script, tight script is just fantastic, we get movies this good about once a decade.

Spoiler:
I agree that we don't know if it is the real world or not, but it certainly matters. The interesting thing is that his final development is two-fold, he forgives himself for his wife's death but he also stops caring if he is in a dream. That is the key in that last scence, he spins the top but doesn't stay to see if it stops spinning or not - he no longer cares if he's in a dream he just wants to see his kids.

I think that might be the cleverest thing in the movie, we can't ever know if he was in a dream or not, but we certainly care.

To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

I liked the ending with the top. But, I don't think this should get a sequel to try and attempt to continue it, I think it should be left that way

Inception is the first film in a while where the special effects were there to enhance the story of the film rather than just to show off.

It is visually stunning, well-acted, and thought provoking. I hope it kills the academy awards.

Saw this movie today, and here is my take on the ending
Spoiler:
The top was not his totem, but his wives, and I believe his totem was not a physical object, but just his vivid memory of his children as he left. Because even at the end they have the same clothing etc, so that would mean they where still in a dream state because he finally saw his kid's faces, which he never saw as he left... if that made any sense at all... like his mind created it or something... It makes sense in my head some how...

He's part right. He's right that 'it's all a dream' isn't a cop out, because we can still achieve catharthis and development in a dream, just a like a movie can still matter even though it's all made up. And he had an interesting insight in plotting the characters to the various elements of a film's production - I can't believe I didn't notice that before.

But he's very wrong in claiming that 'it's all a dream' is the true answer. The film is not explicit about that, the film quite explicitly leaves that up to interpretation. In claiming there's one way true meaning to the film's events he's missing one key thing about dreams and about movies - what we experience is a result of what we bring to the movie, it is an inherently subjective experience. The level of dreaming we believe to be going on in Inception is just that, a personal opinion.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”
