HI NEW TO THE SITE

For the love of god let go of the shift key. Caps locking your posts is really irritating, and will get people far ruder than me on your ass.

However, if your painting is actually that good, you should be alright once you turn off caps lock. Or you're trolling. I think I'd prefer that.

I'm pretty sure that having part of your hand missing is not going to change the fact that you don't have to hold the shift key or turn on caps lock to write anything.

But the model is well painted, so keep up the good work

Great painter. Maybe would benefit from a wider look at the site to get the lay of the land? But that paint job on that BA Termie is top notch.

Jeez, give the guy a break! so he forgot about caps lock, big deal. Dakka is better than this. We should be giving a new member a warm welcome, not acting like dicks.

The painting on that model is exquisite ! And if you've only been painting for 8 months, you should be doubly proud. Its the first time I've seen someone remove the skull and replace it with a normal head. It looks great and reminds me of the artwork from the SM Codex of Calgar sat on the throne.

Nice work, good job on the head replacement in particular. I find the highlights could be taken 1 step brighter on the red and on the skin, while there are certain small details missing like the eyes of the helmet.

To this normally being a friendly site and encouraging new members, yes, we should. However new members should also be encouraged to likewise be polite and not to write in net speak, all caps or to pick fights.

I don't personally care how many fingers he has, and frankly throwing it out there as an excuse for annoying behavior after the fact should not be looked over either.

Let's all be friends now shall we?

This site is about painting and gaming with minis. However, it's also about being able to read posts. If you don't so much as capitalize your I's and end every third post with an insult or confrontation, you come off as being ignorant, uneducated, and irritating.

Dakka's reply is most likely to be in the form of a Mod at this point unless I am mistaken, they don't normally look kindly on a dude with 14 posts, 9 of which are rants or combative.

No one is looking to pick fights with you, they/we have certain standards we like to encourage like proper English and spelling where possible, if you don't want to conform to the environment the mods and founders of the site like to encourage, I would imagine you would be better off on a site with less civil tendencies.

For instance if I didn't respect the rules I might have written something completely different in response

Maybe... difficult to make a point and not be combative at times. Like I said in my first post in here, we should be talking about this guy's mini's and being friendly.

However, the gentleman would be getting more of a good response and comments/advice were he to take the no caps/spell correctly advice in stride. You've been on here way longer than I have Griz, I'm sure you'll agree that the above would help him talk more about his stuff and less about his typing, which is the point isn't it?

p.s griz if that response was to him and not me forget it lol!

Anyone else doubt this kid actually painted that? Haha it seems a little too high level for someone with such a spastic nature.

I am sure Grzgrin is on on Majortom11's side.I agree with MajorTom stop making a fool out of yourself and thinking we all want to stab you, and be more polite. and if you post something here, always expect bad comments or tips or something. we are not all doing "oooh", "aaaah" "nice one, utrinque3RDparatus" or "good work" always, always expect some tips or comments.
