Anyone have a good tutorial on making robes for space marines out of greenstuff? I'd by the DA ones but they wouldn't work for the project im doing. I think it would look cooler and be easier to make it open fronted, so the chest plate of the torso still shows. Seen pictures, but no "How-To's"

Feed back would be appreciated, thanks!

Here's a link I recommend whenever GS questions come up. Good for many reasons, but specifically deals with the robes etc,

Tissue paper and watered down elmers glue. You fold the tissue paper in half, and cut it out how you want. crumple it up a bit and then submerge it in the glue. Paint on some glue to the area you want the robs and such, and then stick the tissue paper on. Its incredibly easy to shape and form with some toothpicks or your paintbrush even. It shapes rather nice and looks pretty good when done.

Give it a shot you might be surprised. Once you get the technique down you can robe a mini in about 3-4 minutes. I did that on my Flashgits for their coats and after the first mini, I was cranking them out

I've posted a tuto about this. It was originally designed for CSMs, but it would fit for any other kind of marines.

Awesome thanks guys, over the past few months I've done some gnarly sculpting and scratch building with greenstuffing my nurlge army, but when i tried doing other stuff after that, I realized it was like getting my very first pack of greenstuff all over again haha. But yeah, I'll just give it a go, had a pretty good turn out with my banners so im sure tunics shouldn't be too much different. Should have pictures up of all my work within the next few weeks, just need a new charger for my camera.
