The new starters are smaller than the old ones but it was mentioned in there forum that they are going to sell models only available in the old starters in separate packs. As long as they sell blisters of lemures I will be happy, need more of those freaky little critters

Oh and the starters come with quick play rules!

Oh, very cool. I was definitely disappointed to see this game go down. Models are very sweet.

I really liked the range. Never got to play the game though. I'll definetly give them a looksy at GenCon.

Those sets are only $15,--?!

So for those of us interested but not terribly familiar with Helldorado, what kind of minis are we expecting to see in these boxes? Or is it still unknown at this point? I've seen Helldorado played a few times at Historicon when I was younger, but I can't remember any real specifics.

Assuming that the pictures on the boxes show its contents you get

1 Officer :
The leader of your warband, generally a powerfully and expensive character with abilities to bolster your troops and smite your foe.



3 Troops :
Low price scum that you can take multiples of



And depending on the box 2 come with Lemures, little demonic beasts you use to channel magic through. Think tiny magical suicide bombers from hell



The others come with an independent character. These are limited to one or two of that type per force usually. Independents are better than troops and often have special attacks and abilities.



I only have demons and westerners my self, but a quick tally of the points reveals that each box come to around 100pts. Thats half the Helldorado default size of 200 IRC. But they do each give you a viable starter force.

Oooo nice! I'm thinking the GenCon 2010 model, Augustinus Raimond would make an inspiring base for an Inquisitor in Power Armour...

Thats a Greater Demon of wrath

No fancy powers just a close combat monster. Not a starter box character, it was sold separately so I guess it will be again when it gets re-released. Scale wise its a bit smaller than a GW demon prince.

Yeah, but you gotta watch it. They seem to be on a slightly smaller scale than other big 28mm games out there.
