Also littlenibbler Orks aren't about armour saves.
Orks are about having too many models on the table, and wasting the other guy's time with your movement phase.
Orks are about having the toughest units on the table.
Orks are about not caring about how many bodies are left in a long winding trail until the squad is down to less than a third its starting strength.
Orks are about rolling more dice then you can count without the aid of a calculator or a pen and paper.
Orks are about having totally fething insane characters tearing gak down like Doc Grotsnik, Ghazghkull or Snikrot.
Orks are about being too fething awesome to die...

Definately not for competitive play, but i wanted something random. I've tried Weirdboyz, Shokk Attack Guns, and Big Gunz too. So far Flash gitz (although random) have been given me luck to win a game or 2 with them so far. They dakka-ed the hell out of some tyranid genesneekers and then clobberd the lot with the snazzguns. The looted Wagon(random also) has proven a reliable transport for them with the Kff nearby. I liked the Bad Moon theme, even giving my trukks zebra-skin seats and boomboxes like the codex says. Painting Deffguns and snazzguns gold is pretty funny too. Granted most of the time this list will sink me but the Gitz with a Painboy has proven far tougher with their standard 4+ saves than I thought. When shooting, I am always giving them a 5+ Inv with my Big Mek nearby for support so they are actually a great distraction unit cuz some players fear them more than lootas!

Um... why are you using Gitz as a bait when they cost more than the lootas you're covering for?

The Lootas are doing most of the damage, so if my Deffkoptas/trukkboyz aren't enough of a distraction than and only then will I use the Gitz to get some fire off my Lootas. Again, this is not a competitive list, just one I've had some decent luck wif

You could trade 'em in and have 2 units of lootas.

Quite tempting Eyclonus, quite tempting indeed. Perhaps for competitive games I will opt for that option. I always thought 1 unit of Lootas was enough but I'm finding more and more opportunities for open firing lanes once I get my trukkboyz/Deffkoptas out of the way by turn 2. I think I'll give it a shot, thanks!

Point for point, Lootas are the kings of ork shooting.
They can kill pretty much any infantry unit on the tabletop, and vaporize anything with AV12 or less .

Have your Deffkoptas done anything for you? I would strongly suggest taking Buzzsaws on your koptas and get them into combat with a tank asap.

If you do want FGs, Cybork is 100% better for your lineup than Shootier. Gets them there more reliably.
