so im going to do an Art/scale army only 1500
but im struggling whic of the pre-heresy chapters i want to do
its all basesd on theme, modeling posibilities, painting then gameplay
in that order lol

Well dont do the usual culprits: AKA LunaWolves/Sons of Horus, Empy Children, World Eaters

and Dont start an army that really hasn't changed much: AKA White Scars, Ultramarines, Dark Angels

I'd Like to see pre heresey Space Wolves, also the radiant colors of pre 1k sons would look AMAZING i think. Pre heresey Word Bearers would be kind of neat too but would basically be black templar. oh oh maybe pre nurgle death guard? tho that's been done too.

Death Guard seem to be the most popular pre-heresy army about.

Night Lords might be interesting, though they are pretty much the same before and after...

I think pre-heresy 1k Sons is a very cool looking chapter, you should go for them.

They are cool. Even in WH:30k

I like my PH thousand sons better than my Sons of Horus.

PH world eaters look great painted. if you can stomach purple then PH Emporer's Children might be the way to go.

fair well with theme too, thats a big factor for me... so ill have to give it a bash...and no. space wolves. not a chance! lol

Honestly I think the most interesting pre-heresy theme is either Iron Warriors or Emperor's Children, but I dunno if OP wants to paint pink Marines.

And Iron Warriors' color scheme is nearly identical to today's.

How about World Eaters:

they look awsome, probably the best preheresy, however; they get donr the most out of them.

Because it hasn't been suggested yet, do a pre-heresy missing legion.

Plus robes, scimitars, and very different helmets. I do not think there is any heresy army as unique as 1K Sons.

Eh, picking a chapter that looks exactly the same pre and post heresy is boring.

U mentioned Word Bearers? I play WB And the Scheme cgoes from traditional red to jet black. now you can make that a little less boring. you can play with black templar mini's but on exposed armor purt tattered scrolls and better yet! PRe heresey style writings carved right into the armor!
