Well. I left my re-painted 1.5k
CSM army in my up and coming home on the other side of the planet. This means..not only can I not show it's awesomeness off.. it also means I cannot paint or directly alter/improve any of it until at least January and, nor can I play with it. Bad times.
I also have another 6k points of
CSM's and 2k points of Chaos Daemons (amongst other numerous models) at home ready to be repainted or remade/replaced giving me plenty of things to do until January and as is the thing whereby we decide everyone else needs to know what we're up to.. I decided I'd just go ahead and make a blog about the antics I get up to until I am reunited with the precious.....I don't mind comments and advice. I don't consider myself a good, great or even amazing painter.. merely someone who knows what they want from a model and is capable of achieving that to a satisfactory level for little old me.
The first entry of pictures shows my recent Wolf Lord minature. This dude was a present for my best mate (he went and found the aforementioned 1.5kpt
CSM army when it got lost in the post) that I gave him recently (he loved the model and has used it in every game since he got it, about 10 or so). Below are some
WIP pictures, sadly this model is also with the 1.5k marine army in NZ and so
WIP photos are all I got for now.
lol.
It is a Space Wolves Lord.. but I decided to attempt to mix my own lighter blue. Despite it being a lot less subtle than the usual
SW colour I quite liked it and the addition of a white helmet and some marks across his armour sorta sang history at me.
My new project is an updated version of Abaddon the Despoiler. Here are some
WIP snaps..
As you can see Drach'nyen is missing
atm because I am moving it from a previous Abaddon across to the new one (I liked how I painted the last one and decided not to risk an attempt to recreate it). I based the model on the picture from the last two editions of Codex chaos and his portrait from the 2nd edition codex.
