Granted the list is for fun...I have concerns about easy clearance...2 Vindicators could REALLY ruin this armies day...just the same as some Defilers could...Not to mention Chaos packs some pretty tough units that aren't easy to take down...just a thought.

Pie can really ruin this lists day and ther're are some units that can bog it down, but then again I've watched Anpu clear 100+ Orks with a 15 man list in three turns so...

But if I am in Close Combat Vindis are useless.

The biggest issue with this list is that you have no mobility outside the the big Thunderwolf Deathstar (and the Iron Priest I guess). That big Wolf Guard unit might scare the hell out of any infantry unit, but I don't have to worry about it at all until very late game (if at all) as it is too slow to catch anything. Deathstar units are not great choices to start with, but at the very least they need to be able to move fast enough to catch things, a slow Deathstar is just a waste of point. Basically this means I am free to concentrate everything on that Thunderwolf unit, even if I don't have S10 pieplates, sustained fire from an entire 2000pt army for 2 turns is going to cause it to drop and with a maximum of 6 missile launcher shots coming back at me for the first 2 turns (nothing else will have range) you can't do much about it.

You also have very little anti tank firepower and even if you factor in assaults (which is a bad idea in any case, you want to kill transport with shooting so you can assault the contents) anything with AV13+ is going to really ruin your day. Notably any Dreadnought is going to have a field day against this list, you can only reliably deal with it with the Thunderhammer (which is going last) and any hits are going to be instant killing a Thunderwolf (3++ aside). Most SW lists which run ThunderWolves have melta units and Long Fangs to make sure they can still deal with Dreads and AV13+ and without them you will struggle.

At the very least you should drop the Lone Wolf and get Rhinos for the Wolf Guard and Grey Hunters, and split the Typhoons up so they are 3 x 1 rather than a single squadron. However I wouldn't expect this list to do well against any serious competition and realistically needs some major reworking, probably involving dropping that massive Wolf Guard unit and taking several smaller WG units in transports with combi-meltas.

I would be giving the Wolf Guard Combi-Weapons, if could find them and I am not that great at converting anything that small.
My Grey Hunters might have had Melta-Guns, once more if I could find them.
I find the Lone Wolf one of my most Killy Units, normaly he destorys or beaks 3 infantry squads a game, this includes full sized Ork Mobs!
Most of my other list do have 2 Long Fangs, like I said this is a For Fun List.

This is also the Start of a new Great Company and do plan on expanding it.
I don't now at the moment how I am going to tweak it, but I need to try it at least once

Hmmmm looks like my Chaos force is gonna chop up these Space Puppies this Saterday. An all calvery army vs. me sounds alots like target practice, as I stay at my edge of the table, for 3 turns. Shooting everything to bits, and 4th close combat with my Khorne Bezerks to mop up the board as my troops take objectives.....gonna get me some puppy scalps again hehehehe...

That wolf guard unit.... thats a lot of points for squad of pseudo grey-knights that is on foot...

I personally can't see you doing well at all mate but good luck :(

If I were you I would at least think about including a rune priest for a cover save and to represent that this squad has some grey knight like characteristics (all GK's are psys)

I am planing on adding a Rune Priest, I just need moar Plastic-Crack

Fluff or not, I love taking WG squads full of Storm Bolters too.
