Hi everyone ^^

Recently i have decided to go back to my origins and start a new Black templar army, but i have 1 problem, i have no idea how many Black Templar marines i can make with the upgrade box....

I'm going to start off by getting a chaplain, the emperors champ and a battleforce, and would like to know what i actualy get in the upgrade box so i can have all my initiates in robes with templar style pistols and CCW, but i don't know how many upgrade boxes i will need.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

got enough to make ten models and add some great BT stuff to vehicles

Thanks, now my only problem is getting the £100 or so i need to buy it all ^^

Lets see, in the upgrade box, you just get arms, weapons and shoulder pads as well as the chest pieces and heads. You have to have a regular tactical squad though to complete it. You can spread it out to two crusader squads if you want, or make one squad nothing but BT bits, but you might need to find a way to get more CC weapons, as oddly it doesnt come with enough.

Thanks for the help guys, and i have a solution for the lack of BT CCW's on the sprues.

I shall buy 2 or 3 upgrade packs so that i can have crusader squads of only CCW and only Bolters, as i think i will have enough then. ^^

Oh and 1 more question, i looked at the picture and desciption of the upgrade pack, but I've heard elsewhere that you get 2 of what is shown, is this true?

In each BT upgrade box, you get:

2x infantry sprues
1x vehicle sprue

Each infantry sprue upgrades 5 guys with full BT bitz, and you get some bitz left over - spare head, weapons, misc bitz

The vehicle sprue (not pictured) has Rhino & LR doors.

For proper crusades, your best bet is to buy some Assault Marines so you get more BP&CCW guys.

So this is my plan so far of what I'm gonna get.....

2 X SM Battleforce

1 X Emperors Champ

1 X Predator

4 X BT upgrade box




Now knowing that you lot know what you get in the upgrade better than i do, and most of you know how to start an army better than i do ^^ i would like your C&C on wether you think this is a good idea.
