Hi guys, i need some advice, my space marine army has grown quite large now i dont know how many points but id say around 2000pts-ish they need re-painting to my DIY chapter but i need somewhere to store them, as tupplewear boxes just are not suitable any more. So what carry cases are good quality and cheap, my budget is around £25-£30 (about $60 i think) so far i like the look of "KR MULTI CASES" but the website is a bit confusing, any advice?
Thanks.

The cardboard KR cases seem good to me.

Whatever you do, don't get the GW ones. I did and have regretted it ever since.

Hey, I know what is really good! GW carry cases! I love mine, but I love them so much I want to replace them with brand new ones! I'll sell you mine at a 3% discount on GW prices!

I use a monster toolbox to carry around all my SM, the BRB, and my codex. For my DH, I use a Tackle box. Also, it gives you instant weathering on your models.

Using $15-20 toolboxes will replace most carrying cases. Unless you are entering your army for a golden deamon, go with the toolbox.

I agree if you have the money battlefoam is good but so is sabol army transports for a little cheaper. I use the sabol motor pool and took out one of the medium thickness foam inserts and added two more 1" thickness inserts and it holds all 6rhinos, 3 Vindicators, 50plus infantry, 10 bikers, 2 DPs,and a dread.

Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel, its just a freight train coming your way!

Sorry didn't know about british firearms laws. Either way you should be able to order one online if you're willing to pay the shipping.

Right, whilst it's not the cheapest option in the world, Battlefoam are far and away my favourite supplier of foam/cases. Just have a quick check of their website for all the information you want, and as your in the UK (like me) you can order them from Wayland Games, as they're the UK supplier of Battlefoam.

Seriously, this stuff is super good. I've got well over 2000+ pts of Guard foam plus a 720 case to carry it around in. Again, its not the cheapest option out there, but you really do get what you pay for. I invested in it, and wouldn't go anywhere else ever again. Just my £0.02

Who doesn't like GW cases? They're great for infantry and you can back a truck up over them without them breaking. I carry one in the Apocalypse backpack with a separate box for my tanks.

There was a review on the KR multicase in Dakka Discussions a few weeks ago and it was pretty negative. I might be thinking of another case though.

Same here - I have GW cases for every army I won (most of them were thrown in as part of deals on ebay) and I find them pretty much spot on. The only two armies I don't use GW cases for are Tyranids because they are so damn irregular they don't easily fit into little compartments and Orks, purely cos there are so damn many of them. For those two, I use a metal three tier toolbox I bought at B&Q for £20 - does the trick.

I personally go the GW cases, but customise the compartments heavily...foam padding and wadding and all that....
For a good alternative to foam, go to a fabric store and ask for Quilt Wadding. Its light, but absorbs anything you throw at it.

I think GW cases are too small for the price

I have a 15000 pt darkangels army and i would need about 4-5 of the big GW cases - i get it all in a crystal caste ( http://www.maelstromgames.co.uk/index.php?act=cat&cre=hob-krf-acs ) and a charron skirmish pack ( http://charonproductions.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=3_34&osCsid=776d50d4adbd8b9b84f3d4786e532378 )

Thats
130 marines
50 deathwing termies
50 ravenwing bikes
6 landspeeders
2 landraiders
6 rinos
1 razorback
1 Damocles
2 vindies
7 dreadnaughts
7 droppods

In two cases !!!!

All my army's are just too big for GW cases :(

years ago i used Egg Cartons and cotton balls.

i have 2 GW cases and they work alright, but they arn't worth the money spent on them.

i also use 2 cases that, in a previous life, were used as cases for Electronic equipment. they're even water proof.

haven't ever gotten any, but Battlefoam is supposed to do good stuff. you can customise the foam.

GW cases. Only 45 bucks, nice looking, good plastic, good foam. It's the way to go. I just toss my tanks into a spare Battleforce box with some plastic bags for a little padding and carry them under my arm. You can fit like a land raider and a couple ReQs in one.

The GW cases are nice. Never understood what people are talking about. Maybe if you throw it out the window of a 10 story building it'll break, but otherwise, they work great.

Each of my army's has its own cases that way it keeps them tidy in my home , so when i go out everyone gets to come along and as my biggest army fits in two cases - no probs

The KR ones are priced very well, as Id only use the cardboard one, maybe a aluminium one. Plus the customisation is great! I may buy mine from there when I have the money.
