Well if you had to choose which army would you pick? Why?
I would choose Ordo Xenos, cause aliens are overrated, except Orks...

SPACE DWARVES!!!!

Elite little Forge Workers that are master crafted everything and they auto have a 4+ cover save due to height issues. and Vulnerable to blast weapons Cause they swarm like hell. Weapons of choice Axes and Hammers and they can see in the dark. oh and tunnel into cover.

YEAH!!!! little dudes with orange mohawks and power weapons. orks have found an ally at last.

If it had to be a brand new army? Hrud or Demiurg. 40k can always use new Xenos armies.

If I could recreate a new faction instead? I'd toss out Witch Hunters and bring back a Sisters of Battle/Ecclesiarchy force.

haha its a death watch chaplain i designed. hes got a nid skull instead of a human one i was thinking of making his crozius out of hormagant blade arms and giving him some tau tech

I think its a moot point until they update all the existing codices, ordos xenos could fit in with a new inquisition book, o think the mechanicum could have the most cool and new options to them

Not from the list I'd say a full out kroot army! (again!) or maybe some other species. Exodite Eldar (I dont know too much bout them to be honest), Hrud (not space skaven!), Umbra (well ok they cant really do an army), and all the other assorted xenos in aligned with tau (like the "dwarves" with ion tech!)

ive heard alot of rumors on the web an upcoming mechanicum army and i think it has the most potential tho i cant help but love ordo xeno
custodes would be a cool army to look at but i dont think theyd work as they probably dont carry out as many missions as any of the other elements of the imperium and youde have like what 5 unit types

Pretty much this. We have a lot of Imperium, we don't need more. What we do need is for existing stuff to be updated.

I have always wanted a non-imperial army. Maybe humans that turned away from the Emperor in the early days and now have come back with a vengeance!

Pretty much this. We have a lot of Imperium, we don't need more. What we do need is for existing stuff to be updated.

This is true. We don't need brand new parts of the imperium... just expand and make plastic the current stuff... Example, all the wonderful guard regiments.. I would love to be able to get some plastic models from other then Catachan or Cadian easily.

New army... a all Kroot army with some melee focus would be good to be allies with tau... Or even some other brand new race of tau allied melee focus to try and expand the allies other then the imperium

How come on AB the new 5th update shows a fourteenth army of Kroot Mercenaries?

all of them count as equipped with power weapons as they crawl inside enemy armor and eat them from the inside. they are accompanied by carnivorous 3 tusked 6 eyed mammoths.

I don't really know what there is to make for Ordos Xenos. Deathwatch? They're cool and everything, but Sternguard are functionally the same in-game.

Adeptus Mechanicus is my vote, but only because there's no option for Arbites. I AM THE LAW.

Angels of chaos, everything else exists in some fashion. but this.

I'm an old school player, so I'm still whining about the way my Slann were cut from 2nd edition... I would like to see them make a comeback, and get the full Codex 'n plastics treatment like these new upstarts such as Necrons and Tau.

Yeah, but I'm not going to have an army of dozens of Arbites in Necromunda. I've got everything I need to play, just haven't read through the rulebook yet.

Umbra are a bit more mysterious, but Hrud are this:



They're short, ugly creatures with warp-based technology and an affinity for shadows. They infest certain parts of hte galaxy like rodents, but they're quite intelligent. Originally the Hrud were basically Space Skaven, but I prefer the newer looks (Skaven fit in great in fantasy... not so great in 40k).
