Subject: Marvel Vs Capcom 3! 3/22 Update. Sentinel Nerfs and other fixes
Hmm I dont believe theres a topic for this yet here! So whos excited after a decade of waiting?
I know theres the big issue of "THEY'RE GONNA HAVE LESS CHARACTERS THAN BEFORE!"but you have to remeber back in MvC2, they RIPPED the characters from other fighting games exactly (basically copy and paste which leads to imbalance!). This time around they're doing it from the ground up with character animations and everything so they cant fit in too many at release (and thens theres the *shudder* tournament scene). Still I'm VERY pumped up for this game!

I think the most concrete lists have the number of fighters in the high thirties, with likely digital distribution ad ons and probably a "turbo" sequal game a year later adding another 8 or so. It'll end up having more, it'll be a huge seller for capcom. I can't wait!
I'm saddened by the loss of juggernaut and shumagorath though, most leak lists forgo their mention.

I think its gonna be around 34-38 I think? cant remember
Anyways here are some character spotlights for some of the ones not in the Trailer
This game looks absolutely amazing. They've included all of the characters that I felt were missing from MvC2, and by the looks of it, it will be far more balanced than the last outing.
I just seriously hope they make the soundtrack better than the last game. That gak was horrible.

Oh well, Deadpool <3
Venom and Nero (from DMC4) would be my picks for DLC.
Speaking of Venom, is Spidey in here? I haven't seen him yet.
He hasn't been revealed yet, but half the character have still not been revealed. He's heavily hinted at being in it and most leak lists have him in there.

Well theres a few people convinced that the company currently holding the rights to Spiderman Video Games is preventing them but so far no facts from either side. Also you already have 2 DMC characters! give some other games a chance!

Sir Isaac Newton may be the deadliest son-of-a-bitch in space, but John von Neumann is the logistics officer that eats your problems and turns them into kit.
This is the first game that really makes me sad I don't have a PS3.

Have fun with your controller designed for the hands of midget japanese children with bizarre concave thumbs and middle fingers made of sandpaper. I'll be winning with glorious xbox360 conpad superiority with it's easy to grip sticks and triggers and confortable design.

Thumbsticks accurately represent arcade stick controls on conpads and most modern fighting games use analog inputs for things like movement speeds. Other then that you have the rather soft 360 dpad versus the idiotic 4 button dpad on the ps3 (only capable of 8 way input and thumbrolling is unintuitive). The ps3 controller has about absolutely nothing on either of its competitors.

Wait - did you just say that the X-BOX 'controller' is superior to the PS3 Dual Shock?

Yeah, there went your credibility!
Truly, I am awful for stating that the dual shock which hasn't been a good design since it competed with the n64 (when it had to fight the three prong and that dreamcast abomination) is inferior to the first well designed game controller in the history of the industry. Truly, the dual shock is superior with its cheap slippery convex analog sticks, it's four button cheap 8 way dpad, it's slippery and tiny shoulder buttons, and it's curves designed (literally) for the grip of a japanese child (it was). My credibility is destroyed!

I LOVE fighting games and the reason why is because they're the last genre that still cares about game play. Let's get one thing straight; NOTHING MATTERS except game play. I'm not one prone to fits of nerd rage but holy gak feth if they screw this one up I will NEVER FORGIVE THEM. I'd better not have a Tatsunoko 3 button control scheme or I will actually kill people. I'll find real, completely unrelated people, stalk them and murder them. Anyway, I need to take a nap after that.

And now, for some sad news.....
I've never feared Death or Dying. I've only feared never Trying.

The hilarious thing is that MVC2 was one of the most unbalanced and bug filled fighting games in that generation in consoles, and is easily the most of any popular tourny fighting game. The number of infinite combos and engine exploits is ludicrous and it never would have held up for gameplay if it weren't for the awesome matchups and the popular properties it leveraged.
