6 longfangs inc/ pack leader, 5 ML 140

2 Thunderwolf cavalry, 1 PF, 1 SS 155

= 1500

The two CML wolf guard without fists join the long fangs, Logan joins one of them to give them 7 str 9 shots per turn (yay) everyone hangs back and blows transports up with 11 str 8 shots+7str 9 shots per turn at 6 different targets. TWC and TW lord hang around and discourage assaults, combi melta wolf guard threaten armor so the enemy has to waste shooting on them.

Personally i hate running Wolf Terminators without a delivery mechanism. Either Pods or a raider, they are just to expensive to have never arrive. But if the goal is just to weather the storm for an extended period of time then i suppose it could work.

Khador - 25pts
Tau Empire - 500pts

Only one dude in 5 has TDA to get a CML, then I just camp out on my side of the board using my 48" range and 18 missile launchers to pummel the enemy. The thunderwolves hang around deter assaults with a 24" threat range.

That's a really nice looking 1500 list. Plenty of shooting, assault power, OK mobility. You can attach Logan to Long Fangs to make the missiles strength 9 against vehicles.

The only army I can see being troublesome would be a terminator heavy list but those aren't that common.

I like that list a lot, I may be stealing some of those ideas!

yep, changed the two TWC and lord to 2 single TWC both with fist and shield and 2 TDA SS+CF lone wolves, which works a bit better, as the lone wolves dont give up KP's so you can happily throw them away to distract enemy units.

Unfortunately I ended up playing my friends termispam templars today 2 losses, though the second game was a bit closer when we played 5 objectives, first was KP's. Bottom line is, this list autoloses against termies almost.

Thanks for the reply =)

Yea second game was a lot closer since I only have 10 space marine models that are scoring. I havent decided yet whether the TWC alone are good or not. My 8 assault cannons didn't have a problem with them, but they might survive a bit more against a different build. The two lone wolves were way better than the single TWC lord.

2 WG with Cyclone upgrades (firing 4 rockets) cost nearly enough points to buy an additional squad of long fangs (firing 5 rockets). They can split fire, and are more durable. I am curious of your rationale here, as your 3rd heavy spot seems to be empty.

That being said, Wolf Guard terminators are one of my favorite models right now. I've got one blue tacked to the dash board of my car because it rocks that hard.

I haven't tried thunderwolves, so I'm curious to hear how these work out with your WG, as I began my own wolf wing recently.

Good point. The cyclones are however easier to hide in WG units and thus are harder to remove, but the cyclones that join the LF squads could be swapped out for another LF squad.

Hmm, hadnt thought of that. The 2 WG w/ cyclone do cost 126pts... Ill see if I can't tweak the list a bit and post up a new one later. Thanks for the input =)

ps. the thunderwolves havent worked very well so far, theyve just gotten shot up very quickly, 2 wounds and a 3+ save, even with t5 isnt very tough. On the other hand they have drawn fire from the rest of the army. Im gonna have to playtest the list a bit more and see how they fare, but at the moment my thinking is that there needs to be a couple more of them if im going to use them in this list.
