Hey guys just wanted to share and update on what ive done so far with the SM army that im going to use. Here are some pics of what im working on right now which is my HQ seth and HQ Reclusiarch. in addition to his honor guard and i know they are all different champion models but thats what im going to use for my Honor guard. Anyways here are some pics

Cool thanks, I use the same colours but my white never looks as good. I maybe need to thin out my paints out a little. I usually just paint from the pot!

Yeah never paint from the pot thats a big no no lol i use flow aid that was recommended here on dakka dakka and it just made my painting way way better

I would thin out my paints if I could be bothered. But I am only aiming for tabletop quality with my ultramarines. It is just much quicker and doesn’t look too bad. But looking at this maybe I should thin my paints. Where do you get this Flow aid?

@flying pooo I got my flow aid from Michaels craft store.. depeding on where you live i suggest going to ur Hobby store or craft store and ask for liquitex flow aid and make sure you follow the rules on mixing it with water.

loving the colour scheme. Using the champions as a honor guard is a great idea. Cant wait to see them finished

remeber to paint the emperors champion better than the others for it to really stand out (or make it pink your decision)

haha ive painted the emperors champion like 3 times and all of them he dont come out that well since this is my honor gurad i think its funny that my blood champion is going to be the guy with the axe and the shield (shield still need to prime and glue)

Have you considered adding glowing red eyes to the equation? Red plasma would be cool too. Not sure if it would add or subtract from what you're doing, and as they look great, may not wanna mess with it to much. Keep it up!

PS, once I (and you) get some of the trades lined up finished, I'd love to set one up with ya.

haha funny you suggested the glowing eyes because i was googling some stuff yesterday on how to do that kinda or work I dont know yet tho i dont want to mess the flow on my guys. might just do that to one of my less value marines

If your unsure, Id recommend doing it on one of the GMS trades. Ive done some new stuff on mine which I then added to my regular guys. If it comes out good, send it. If it is good, but not what you want to do with yours, send it. If it turns out poopy, simple green it and start over!

I'd also talk to a mod about moving the thread to the PM blogs, rather then the one shot that this section is typically for.

anymore updates

Yeah working on some stuff with them right now. I should have pics later on today and i think ill finish the first honor guard which turn out pretty well in my opinion. But yeah pics later today!

Here is an update! first is my Blood champion

and the other is a squad of 5 Assult Termies

I love the color scheme, it's very imposing and suits the models well. However I couldn't help but notice that one of your assault termies is missing a right shoulder pad.

Yeah i got them for 15 bucks but they were in really really bad shape like horribly haha but yeah for how they turn out im really happy

Great layering and shading of the grey. Phenomenal. I just think that you need a third color to make contrast, like in the base or something to make it pop, it kind of just all looks grey.

I think the all grey with the red for contrast is what makes em all look great. It's not somethin see everyday..or ever.
