Average Orc Boy

I was looking through the Gw website, and I noticed that they have articles on tactics for example they have one with many different tactics an orcs n goblins general could use, but since the release of 8th edition are these articles still useful? and also what do you guys think of these articles most of the time??

honestly I find most of their articles to be fluff driven nonsense, not to say I don't enjoy them, but them saying boar boyz are like the best/ most ferocious cavalry in the game, I can't help but be a little skeptic of their motives.

I don't think GW articles have ever been relevant. They often get things wrong, or are just there to sell (probably new) models.

The articles on the GW site pretty much are what they are; a brief and basic rundown of some ways to use various units and the like. Most of the advice in the articles tends to be sufficiently general to span an edition or two of a particular game, though the fantasy side may be the exception to this rule at present.

Having just got hold of the O&G army book was left somewhat confused by what is said in the fluff, and what you actually get in the stats.
For example, as they age the orcses' tough skin gets ...

even more impenetrable, to the point that even the most determined swordstroke can only cause a scratch.

Yet there seems to be nothing that correlates with this. There is no intrinsic armour save afaik, though I may well be mistaken.

Not sure there is any ulterior motive for it but the inconsistency is a tad annoying. Especially when they are going to come up against High Elves and will need all the help they can get
