Hey folks a new month for the mini of the month. Sorry for the delay, I've had a busy week.

The theme;



It is time to raid the clearence bins and bottom of the drawers. Best OOP single model that can be finished within the month. This can be 25mm, 40mm, 60mm, MC and vehicles. The only thing is that it has to start OOP (OOP means that it cannot be bought from the Company's Website or special ordered from the Company) and be built and painted within the month. The older the better. You should have enough time to do at least one figure on a 25mm base.

Got an old model but unsure of what it is or where its from lol, all i know is its early 80's or so XD

I'll enter my first mini of the month competition, so sign me up.
And a quick question, can we use plastic parts on old OOP models?

It can be any OOP model GW, PP, FoW, Reaper, FASA, etc as long as it cannot be bought at the company's website oe special ordered from the website.

Some more examples, RT Slann, Old RT SM Land Speeder, the old platsic starship from Starfleet Battles or even old metal Star Wars Role Playing minitures from the late 80s and early 90s. It is just a single miniture regardless of size (FoW infantry must be what would be on a stand not just one infantry model of course). This should be an easy contest for everyone since almost everyone has one OOP miniture somewhere or can get one quickly and cheaply. So, have fun and I would like to see alot of entries and votes this month.

THought this would have gotten fixed with a sticky tag. Well here is the contest for those that havn't seen it yet.

I hope there is alot of entries this month but I have not seen this being stuck yet and it is the 22nd of the month.

I've got a mini all painted up - just one question, how to submit my entry?

I've sent my WIP pics to Bloodthirster via PM. Not sure if that's how you do it now though. Mini is half-done. Should really work on it some more today .

Just PM the pictures (WIP and Final Product) or the links to Bloodthirster. He will post the pictures for voting when the contest is over.

I'll be able start work on my piece only after games day (got to finish my golden daemon model) leaving me with only a short period of time to finsih it,
but i'll try my best to movitate myself to paint my entry.

So when's the deadline again? The 9th October?

EDIT: Seeing as I haven't received a response, at all, I shall take it as written that I am correct in this (and that it wasn't midnight last night). If this is still running?

I sent in my picture 11 days ago.

I was going to finish it yesterday, then as I was carrying soup in the front room, ended up with a knot in my back that has pretty much reduced me to a near-mannequin for the last 24 hours. Starting to get more freedom of movement now, but far from being able to paint, so I guess it'll take a while. As such, I should probably drop out from the competition. If it's not already dead. *pokes it with a sharp stick*

I have Pm'ed BT regarding the MoM contest. I have offered to take over the contest if he wants. I will keep you informed on what is going on.

Ok. I have not heard from BT so I Pm'ed the MOD. I am going to run the MoM contest till BT returns to the site. So send me the WIP and finished pictures and I will submit them to the Dakka Community for voting on Friday.

So please submit your September Contest WIPs and Finished photos.

So far I only have one entry turned in. So if you have an OOP Model that you finished and do have a WIP image along with the finished product please submit it if you want.

The new deadline for finished products are 12:00 PM CST on 11/19/2010 for pictures to be PM'ed to me. Voting will start at 6:00 PM of the same day.

Ok, there is 2 days left to get your entry for Sept 10 MoM contest. I have three entries so far. I have done away with the WIP photos need requirement for the entry into the contest. Acceptance of entries is closed as of 12:00 PM CST 11/19/2010. Just PM me your pictures of your entries and the voting will begin at 6 PM CST the same day.

Well, 4 hours and 40 minutes left for entries for the Sept 2010 MoM. The deadline is 12:00 PM CST today and voting will begin around 6:00 PM tonight which will last over the weekend and end at 6:00 PM CST on 11/22/2010.
