And, TBH, it doesn't look very good. I mean, the background is nice but the marine is so out of proportion its almost comical. For starters, his swords waaaay too big (looking about his same height, I know marines are powerful and strong, but really? A 9ft sword?) Then his power pack/backpack is pretty tiny, his knee caps and joints stick out so it looks as if he has some kind of mutation with extra limb above the knee, the chest is too small, the heads too big for the chest, the collar looks slightly too high, his robe is placed ridiculously (seriously? Over the big plasma vents.) and his sword arm looks like it should be a power fist. The only good things I can say is that the design is nice and ornate and the shoulder pads are a good size.

well ignoring the small knit-picky details, what is it?

Looks like a SoB to me, actually. that explains most of the issues, but the body does look like a normal marine. Hmm...androgyne space marine...

Could be some sort of Custodes concept art.

I could swear i've seen that chapter symbol on an old golden deamon entry, ill see if i can find it.

Hey that's my Chapters colour!!!

I cant find it anywhere ... Maby it was just a model ide seen in an old White Dwarf. The models i saw were gold though and had round shields, i think they were called the Legion of scipio, or somthing along those lines.

Prob Raven Guard though. The face mask looks pretty beakish.

Omega Marines and Sons of Orar both use that chapter insignia, but that appears to be blue armor, which neither the Omega Marines nor Sons of Orar use.

Highly stylized armor suggests Chapter Champion, Captain, or Honour Guard. The gold bits on the helmet are reminiscent of Ultramarines Honour Guard helmets with the ridiculous looking wings.

The red cape also screams "Captain."

But the insignia and colors, I've never seen together before.

The beak could be Raven Guard, but Black Consuls also use beakish designs. And neither of those chapters have the "Omega" chapter insignia.

Armour looks black to me. Just saw the omega symbol. Safe to say Ultramarine later founding of some sort.

Looks blue to me, but could be black with a bluish tinge.

Nope, like I said in a previous post, Omega Marines don't have blue-black armor, they do half-and-half black and white. They also have a skull in the middle of the "Omega" insignia.

Can anyone think of any other chapters that use the "Omega" insignia?

I mean, there are hundreds of chapters out there, it's not unthinkable.

The helmet seem a bit wierd, it almost looks like the EVA helmet from halo.

Its fan art, I saw it on a user on deviantart too.

Now I think of it he looks kind of like a beyblade or crush gear or something from those early morning cartoons, and that's his spirit monster or whatever.

This is just some random fanart of what looks like Ultramarines honor guard. It's also not terribly good.

There's no "possibly" about it.
I can't think of even one of the official Games Workshop artists who uses that specific style.

There's no reason whatsoever to speculate. It's a non-issue. It's fanart.

If this was a stick figure shouting "FOR THE EMPRAH!", we wouldn't be having this issue; it's only because it's an actual nicely done piece of fanart that it cropped up.

So your point is that because it wasn't made by a member of the Games Workshop staff, it's not worth considering?

That we should pretend it doesn't exist, because even though it clearly had an artist, and the artist clearly had a purpose, he's not worthy of Our Majesty's Royal Consideration, because he's not on GW's payroll?

I'm going to continue to speculate as to which Space Marine chapter this gentleman in this piece of art may be a member of, because that's more fun than scoffing at it.
