The Bolter and Chainsword marine painter references "Adeptus Battle Gray" as a color, and I decided to use that as the base for my Marines.

But I can't find it on this chart, which is bad because I use Vallejo:

Is it Codex Gray, which is the darkest Gray they list, or is it something else?

Another way would be to simply slide the landraider sideways like a big slowed hovercraft full of eels. -pismakron

Why do they list that as the darkest? Chardonite granite is much darker than codex...

Why don't you just look at gw's website?

Because GW isn't going to tell me the Vallejo equivalent :p

EDIT: Ah, apparently Adeptus is one of those newfangled "Foundations", which are somehow different from regular paints.

Charadon Granite also isn't actually technically a "gray".

It's a blackish-olive brown. And it's a fantastic basecoat for whenever you're painting black on a model.

As for Adeptus Battlegray...
It's about two shades lighter than Adeptus Battlegray, and is close to Vallejo's "Neutral Gray" color.
