Well here it is, my first ever metal model that actually stayed stuck together when i glued it and that i was able to paint. i used to avoid metal at all costs because of how bad i was with it but i took a chance and i was happy with the result. but just incase im deluded i would like some feed back form you guys.

Dont hold back, any feedback will help me become a better painter (hopefully)

Accelerator is your friend when working with metal. I havent had any issues working with metal hence why i have two completely metal armies.
Model is off to a good start BTW.

I like it.

It could use a bit more highlighting, especially the black, as you lose a lot of detail (that could also be the lighting in your shots). But you've got really sharp, clean lines, and it's a good choice of colours.

Are you pinning your metal models together? They do have quite a tendency to go all to pieces otherwise.

No im just using the GW standard metal glue, i wasnt aware there was another option.

Also, what colour would you recomend for highlighting, its been a while since ive highlighted anything (Nine years ago).

I'm impressed you got that pinkish color over a black basecoat. It doesn't look finished though. There's no shading or highlighting from what I can tell, and there really aren't enough colors on the model. Not saying that every model needs to be a cacophony of colors, but you could use more variation. At the very least I'd drybrush something like Adeptus Battlegrey over the black, just to give it some definition.

Nah i would hilight the black with a 50:50 mix of codex grey and chaos black. This always works for me as I have a Black Templar army at the moment which is aroud 90% chaos black

I'd go for a chaos black/purple mix for highlighting the edges of the model, making the black appear a very deep purple instead of grey.

As for the pink, just add a small amount of chaos white to the original colour and repaint all the pink areas leaving the recesses the original darker pink. That would be more than enough to really make this kick.

Accelerator is basically alcohol that comes in a spray bottle that makes working with metal much easier. You put your glue on either the arm or model and spray the accelerator on the opposite part. Accelerator does exactly what it sounds like speeds up the drying time of the glue. Now if using it it does make the bond a little more brittle but it is a time saver. Now if you pin and use the accelerator on the glue it makes a really good hold.

For accelerating super glue, use baking soda. It makes for a fun chemistry lesson and works very well without using having more potentially harmful chemicals on the workbench. For the model itself.

Pros:
Good crisp painting, with a bold color scheme,

Changes:
Black is to black, use some highlight, see above posters for good ideas. Highlight wings as well.

It might just be ocd, but color in the grills of the mask black or a dark gray.

Add those rune markings. Don't play eldar so I don't know what their called.

Adeptus Battlegrey is pretty much the exact same color, but without the need for mixing. It's a dark grey.

They are no different once undercoated in primer. Metal just requires more work to cut and file and you need superglue to assemble. Sometimes you will need to drill and pin large or fragile parts

Excellent color choices. What pink did you use?

I always hated metal too, I remember one night spending hours trying to glue a metal gandalf to his base. I ended up quitting and buying 40k instead

But the key I think is the right glue. Find a really strong glue (the one I use is Loctite 406, for "difficult to bond materials"), and that will be the end of your problems.

Oh and make sure you give it a decent primer/undercoat.

EDIT: forgot to mention, I love the paint scheme. The best improvment you could do is highlights.

That model doesn't have any runes on it, from memory... I think you might be referring to the spirit stones maybe?

For the future...throw out the crappy GW glue.

Get yourself Gorilla Superglue. And always...always...pin metal models.

The scheme looks great, just add some highlights and you will be good to go!

GW super glue is crap, just any old super glue works fine for me. Pinning is only really necessary with large models that the joint may take alot of weight. The painting looks great btw!

Im almost to the point that i pin every part that my drill bit will fit into..

It takes very little time for not having to worry about the model ever falling apart.

On a smaller model, I tend to not bother with pinning, it can be so easy to drill right through a thin arm and ruin the whole model. the smaller ones dont tend to need it so much anyway.

These two posts sum it up well. Pin if you want peices to stay together for any amount of time or handling.

Also rough up the two surfaces as much as you can. Most of the time you will find that you are trying to stick the surfaces of two peices that you have cut and filed for the perfect fit. This can leave you with a very smooth/shiney finish to the two bits. Superglue (of whatever type) adheres to the surface area you give it so if you can give it an extra "hand hold" by roughing it and increase the surface area slightly then the better the bond.
