Now, the movie may or may not happen but I came across some of the concept art and it is fairly cool so I thought I would share.

Nope.

But I'm glad this is cancelled. Too much like the Bayformers. "Less than meets the eye." Or is it "too much for the eye"?

You do know there is a Monsterpocalypse movie in pre-production don't you?

I would not be opposed to a Voltron movie, but I dislike the style of the robots in that concept shot. It looks too much like Bay's Transformers, not like Voltron.

I dunno, I like the pics. I think its ok. The movie could work but lets face it, Hollywood doesnt really have a good rap sheet on movies working out all that well.

By certain irony, I think that's the only way for the movie to come at as somewhat decent...

You gotta figure vehicle Voltron is an incredibly bad idea, logistically speaking. I mean, when you need all 47 or whatever vehicles to show up in the same place in order to form Voltron, something's going to go wrong.

Someone's gonna have a flat tire and will be running behind, or will be parked at the rest stop taking a dump and be late. And if that guy is a key component like the head or something, you're fethed. Robeast wins.

The thing is, the studio specifically asked for them to be done in Bayformer style(according to the person who did those works and individual Lion designs, who posts on Seibertron occasionally). The artist says he'd rather have been asked to do either do something classic or with his own spin on how the Bay style looks(which he apparently did first and they asked him to re-do it to be more like Bay's).

I'm not particulary keen on the design either, but I do like the scale of the pictures.

Voltron is lovely in a lot of ways. After so much exposure to anime and manga in the past couple decades, I don't know how they could re-capture what magic there was.

Essentially, dry the poop out, break it down into a dirt like state, then use a Dorodango technique to make it a shiny ball.

Everywhere I'm not supposed to be.

Having grown up on the original Voltron cartoon, I will drool over this if it happens. I will go see it multiple times, and I will own a copy of it. If this does not happen...well...prozac, here I come.

If you need me, I'll be busy wiping the layers of dust off my dice.
