How do people make their Dreadnoughts have 2x TL Autocannons? I can't find any model arms like that? If at all possible I don't want to convert anything. Is there any place you can just purchase TL Autocannon left and right arms? If not how do people modify their dreadnoughts to have weapons like this?

Somewhere I have the bits to mash together some Imperial Guard autocannons (from heavy weapons teams) with some of the spare Dread arm variants from the plastic Venerable Dread kit. You can get all the above from bitz suppliers. I've not actually assembled the bits yet...

Forge World sell left and right arm autocannon arms.

Right arm Mk IV

left arm Mk V

They used to have matched pairs of mk IV and mk V arms. Not any more apparently.

Otherwise, you have to make your own. Spare missile launcher pod arms make a good start. Tubing (plasticard) in 3mm and 5mm makes serviceable cannons and spare ammo drums off a heavy weapons team to finish.

Those pictures you posted from Forgeworld...can you use that with any of the GW models?

The Aegis Defence line also comes with a pretty cool set of twin-linked autocannons. They may lack a bit of the armor casing that a dreadnought would have, but a bit of creative platicard usage would solve that.

Sorry but what do you mean any "dread" model. Aren't all the models Dread-noughts? Sorry if I am misunderstanding....

For example this one:

From memory, the resin FW arms were designed when ALL of the GW dreads were metal. There are some slight differences between the plastic ones and the metal ones (and even more with the AoBR one).

Some work might be required (and look up any tutorials or how-tos on working with resin if you haven't done it before. It will save you much grief) to get them to fit.

I used a spare missile pod + tubing method to make my left arm autocannon set (I'm not overly impressed by FWs QC - from having worked in resin casting, I KNOW it's not supposed to be that bad).

Syypher: "dread" is a common shortening of the term "dreadnought." Just as in "Venerable Dread" or "Dread-Socking"

Other than the FW model arms you're looking at converting some yourself, which isn't all that hard and a lot more rewarding
