So do you want fluffy or competitive?

I don't know the new fluff, but the old fluff had Salamanders coming from a very Heavy world. Land Speeders weren't in their armories. Then again I saw GW-painted Salamander veterans painted as though they were African-American instead of jet-black. I guess the fluff changes.

If you have 2 flamers in a tactical squad i am wondering what book you are using? I believe SW can have that but not vanilla marines.

Priesmal you expect GW to be consistent within 1 generation of fluff let alone 2 or 3!? You are greatly mistaken

But honestly, they are still a varied chapter, it's mainly just an increase of the 'fiery' weapons. So meltas and flamers galore =D You can still make a very competitive list. Just remember to paint flames on every flat surface, and make the backgrounds green

If you want the most fire templates as possible you could throw in some combi flamers?

Also you need 2 troop spots at least so another tac squad is a must.

Kaidsin that's what the "*2" is for, it represents twice whatever unit it is after =D

Ah touché. Well in that case the OP has used 2 different ways of notating it "2 Flamers" then "Heavy Flamers *2" . . . ofcourse, you can't have 2 flamers in a tactical squad, let alone when used in conjuction with a Heavy Flamer . . . He must have meant your second version of it =D

Well I would say MM/HF Landspeeders are better than just MM . . . I'm not a fan of single combi-flamers (I only use them in Sternguard) . . . But other than that it's not too shabby.

Will be hard the first turn or two depending on what you're against, as you're longest range weapon is 36", and your longest range tank killer is 24", but these lists are more for making you happy than winning every time =D
