I am by no means a writer, it is just supposed to give a quick background about how the army was put into place, I'll post up a WIP thread of my army soon.

Name: Galanath V PDF (Planetary Defense Forces.)

Specialty: Urban Fighting, Jungle Fighting.

Jungle Monkeys- Prisoners used as Guerilla fighters
Tread Heads- Armored Regiment

Background:
Galanath V is the home to a large hive city, which is a key port. The planet is considered a deathworld outside of the hive city, being an unforgiving jungle, only the toughest humans can fight. It was never threatened by any serious outsiders; therefore it had no need for a huge army like Cadia.
All of this was ok, until one warm night an ork invasion was set upon the planet. The security force had no clue about the looming fleet of orks, until it was too late. With only 4 hours left to prepare for the invasion the city went into chaos, every officer was on duty, and there still wasn’t enough manpower to handle the utter madness in the street, and to defend the borders of the city. When the time came, an eerie silence came upon the city, but this was short lived as all the sudden chanting of WAAAAGH came upon the city. The invasion began.
The defense forces fought valiantly against the orks, but were pushed back hour by hour, day by day, until their final stand at the cities market district. They began to block roads with ruined tanks and other vehicles, trying to buy time as they beg for help over the comms. Several hours later with their roadblock falling, as well as their hope the guardsmen prayed to the emperor to save them. In no time huge fire balls descended from the skies to the city, slamming into the streets, releasing superhuman soldiers that were barely visible only appearing by their glowing red eyes and shimmering raven on their shoulder pads. They wiped the streets of the orks, leaving none behind. After days of intense fighting, the city was purged of the green menace by the remaining guardsmen and their Space Marine saviors. Leaving as quickly as they came, without even saying farewell, the marines ascended to the stars, leaving the city bloody, but clean.
Ever since that day the governor of the hive city ordered a massive cleanup, and reboot of the military, making a self reliant fighting machine. Now lead by Alexander Justus, the military has fought of several ork attacks and even eradicated a small Tyranid hive.

sounds good man. So this is like a IG army?

Well, it's not the great American novel, but it tells me exactly what it says. The casual flow doesn't bother me, either. Overall it's short and to the point, so I give it good marks.

Nothing wrong with it all, solid fluff. Perhaps you could comment how the Jungle Fighting (as that seems to be an element in your army) was used in the battle. Maybe it delayed the ork advance, giving the city the vital time needed to prepare?

Thank you, and yes I thought of that after the fact, I just couldn't figure out how.Thanks for the Ideas, I'll try and have an update soon.

You could also have the jungle soldiers hunting out any savage ork outbreaks like after the Armageddon wars.

Ive gotta find a way to work them in, but their main job is to kill anything outside of the city, whether it be human or xeno.

Mostly I like how it isn't 1 of those "The best of the best" fluff that alot of people usually do.

Thats the good thing about having an ork waaaargh in the planets history, due to the way they reproduce, they will keep popping up every once in a while

I wrote some fluff, like a sorry while I was bored out of my mind in Bio, so far I have about 1 1/2 pages.
