So, you'd rather belong to a rather sad and exclusive club than have these awesome new Jes Goodwin models and actual company support?

Look at it this way - you're already more experienced in playing this army, so you'll have that advantage, right?

Not to sound like a downer, but are those all the models they are releasing with the codex release? While they look great, there's more models I'd like to see with the codex.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

I actualy do preefer my old models, probly grown use to them. But no matter how much experiance i have with them, they apear to have changed the army down to to last layer, and they left it with its orriginal speed and combat powers, everything else, different. It will be like starttping agian.

Bandwagoneering I can agree can be a tad annoying. Like when sports fans start supporting a team just because they're good. But Dark Eldar needed a refresh before they went the way of the squat. I myself started my first Dark Eldar 7-8 years ago. I sold them a few years before though just because to be honest the model sculpts of the old range are terrible quality wise compared to the standards of recent years releases. The good definitely outweighs the bad in this release.

I know your pain, I was the same with Space Wolves.

Thats not all of them there will be more and I know they are doing 2 waves. And as of late they have had an early month release and a mid month, so I expect a few more models to pop up in the next couple of weeks.

THey are holding back some models for Games Day Germany (making USAians even more annoyed at the lack of info at theirs) and will be up for preorder after that.

Should be Hellions, beasts, etc at that point.

I've played the DE just as long and I'm liking the love we've been given despite being 12 years in coming. From everything I've read about the rules, seen of the new models I'm finally relaxed and looking forward to some awesome new builds. Another thing you have to realize, we'll have fully painted models ready to play while everyone else will have to at least glue, prime and base. That means, we still have an edge. Oh sure, proxy...where's the fun in that Now if I can just sell about $1,000 dollars of unpainted/unassembled SM and other various army crap.

heh. Their bandwidth must be nearing critical mass because the GW site is slower than hell right now.

Sluggish response on their site indeed. Over a decade of Dark Eldar players have waited for this!

Im so incredibly happy its finally happend!

Been a Dark Eldar guy for 12 years too. The highly unfortunate thing is that Im not gonna be able to afford a new army til january so I'm just gonna buy the book and go mad with that for a bit. Suppose I may aswell try and get the last bit of use out of my 4.5k 3rd edition army!

I'm in a similar position myself. I'm actually going to (gasp!) sell some of my older 40k models to afford these guys. Must... have...

I hate the warriors, they look way to much like the good space fairies... the pod head with like no spikes ruins them IMHO.

Dont call me dumb, its my opinion.

They look good to me, the reavers look sick beyond belief.

I have to agree with you on that. Every other model is OUTSTANDING.

I hope some day they make a plastic Archon kit for added customising them and retinues. Though even if they don't that one with the Tyranid bone as a sword is great. The cube reminds me of Hellraiser just seeing it. And I also know I will likely field a lot of reavers. Those bikes are so well done.

A few pics of the Helion, A SC named Urien Rakarth (Haemonculus?), the Ravanger, and a Mandrake.

These will likely be the mid month preorders.

Yea, mandrakes, heamonculi, hellions, all look awesome too. Couldnt find that pic earlier so cheers!

Cant wait to see the rules for wyches and all that.

In my opinion the warriors are a bit too over the top. For troops I like things kept simple, I nearly prefer the old ones! lol

Full on, Full on!
