What is this World Series you refer to? It doesn't appear related to God's Sport (football). I'm confused, is this something the ladies play while the men are playing football?

i've lived in CA basically my whole life, and now AZ... hockey isn't really part of the culture like it is in other places/states as it hardly gets cold... even in winter. lol. i have enjoyed a sharks game or two in my day, and i enjoy Olympic hockey, but thats about it. grew up on Baseball and Football. Played soccer on a whim and pretty much fell in love with the sport and I watch as much International (world cup/fifa) soccer as i can.

In Canadurrr, where I spawned into this material realm, there are two types of sports; hockey and girl sports. Hockey is the last atom-thin line of Canuckistani patriotism I have left. You can tell me my religion is BS, my wife is a pig, my friends are losers, take a big dump on a Canuckistani flag, etc, but bring hockey into the mix and say something I know is wrong (i.e. play off games should be decided by shoot out)...the gloves are off, your sweater is over your head and there is AC/DC playing in the background.

in hockey you arent supposed to shoot the puck at any one other than the goalies general location......

I predict that most of the world won't be invited to participate, and second the notion that for something to be a sport, you have to be allowed to kill whoever has the ball/puck.

As much as I'd love to see my Giants in a world series against the Yankees (take your 26 rings and shove them up your asses) I have a feeling that it will be Philly who wins the pennant and faces NY. The Giants just don't have the reliable lineup to go up against the Philly bullpen. And while our bullpen is just as good (sans Zito) in a low scoring game San Francisco rarely comes out on top.
