GW site has an update to most of the FAQs on their site. Downloading now- of immediate note (because I'm doing these in alphabetical order) is that Bretonnian lance formation is 'fixed'. It can now count steadfast, disruption, etc. with ranks of three.
More to follow I'm sure.
And a link: here.

“It was in lands of the Chi-An where she finally ran him to ground. There she kissed him deeply as he lay dying, and so stole from him his last, agonized breath.
On a delicate chain at her throat, she keeps it with her to this day.”

It was about time for the Bret rule to be fixed. Ive read more than enough debates about it.

Also, for those looking, note that the BRB FAQ *is* in fact updated, despite both the file name, and the heading in the document remaining unmodified at the time I write this.
Some interesting notes:
- Confirmation that an IF Throne of Vines may ignore the accompanying miscast on a 2+.
- Confirmation that the Standard of Discipline may be used to boost the general's leadership for the unit he is in, and for his Inspiring Presence rule.
- Clarification of what happens when a wizard is reduced to level 0 by a miscast (still counts as a wizard, may channel for dice, may not attempt to cast spells)
- Stomps and Breath weapon attacks in combat are distributed as 'unusual attacks'- i.e. like shooting
There's some more, including some wording about magic weaponry stat boosts that may need some examination to figure out interactions between things like Fencers Blades and Helm of Commandment.

What the hell is up with that Dragon Armor Errata? The one big boon of Dragon Armor's been significantly nerfed.

Is it really that significant? I know I'm not a High Elf player, but I think it at least lets the other player roll some dice, even if their chances are really low. Personally, I like it...

For the times that it comes up, it makes a huge difference. Especially going up against units like DoC Flamers or Dwarven Warmachines with Rune of Make things on Fire or the TK Screaming Skull Catapult. It was one of the particular traits of Dragon Armor that made it appealing - and it's not like they weren't avoidable, and mundane attacks are still as effective as they were. Not to say the 2+ Ward is worthless, it's just significantly worse than immunity.
Way I see it, this is like randomly making Ethereal into 2+ Wards against non-magical attacks.

They did it to the Dwarf Rune of the Furnace too.
I am delighted to see continuing FAQ support for the new edition. Thank you, GW!
And I am pleased that Brets got thrown a bone, I'd seen a lot of doom and gloom for them and will be interested to read how they get on now. (Brets are the only human faction I'd consider playing.)

I will note that the spell checker didn't seem to be operating for this update. For a relatively small total number of words, there are some glaring typos.

If you roll like me, it's significant. I can just see my 6 ward saves "1,1,1,2,3,1, son of a *****"

Did anyone see if they clarified how warmachines shoot? I.e. do they pivot within their 45 degree LOS before shooting, or do they pivot when they shoot, effectively giving a 360 degree LOS (how most people play).
As a Bret player, its nice to have that clarification about ranks and the lance, but my lances are usually only 6 models, so it usually doesn't matter.

Well, 6 models is enough to disrupt now, so that's something. I didn't see a sweeping war machine change, but there was an errata for the cannon w/ regards to pivoting.
"Page 112 – Cannons, Choosing a Target
Change “[...]pivot in the Movement phase[...]” to “[...]pivot
in the Shooting phase[...]” in the last sentence of the first
paragraph."
Without my book on me, I'm not sure of the impact of that change yet...

you only need line of sight to the center hole and you have to put the template as close to the ground as possible. no more uncertainty about line of sight or TFG moves like placing the template 3 feet above.

They fixed the debate on WAAAGH spell and Warmachines for OnG (being that warmachines are not effected by the spell) which is great since I had many different opinions on it. They also fixed Chaos Trolls and their vomit, now second (third if in horde formation) rank can vomit too!

You didn't miss anything. They've removed the weird, contradicting question, so the Stank can now be affected by Pit.

Flame Cannon still poop? Check
Would've been nice if they added one line that said, "Dwarfs may select magical items/banners from the rulebook."

Template abuse can always be solved by math.. Its not that hard once you just remember some simple rules about how many models a template can touch

Kirasu, it wasn't related to how many people it hit, it was relevant to line of sight and when you need to use indirect fire.
Honestly, the LoS rules for stone throwers were slightly a mess. They are much clearer now.

I bet it happened all the time and you didn't even realize it. Before the rule was that you were supposed to place the template and you needed to have line of sight to it. But how much of it? And how did you place the template? It wasn't very clear, even if you weren't being TFG. But now it is cleared up.
