So I saw an advert on TV last night proclaiming the virtues of the latest Call of Duty release, Black Ops. I might get it, it looks pretty good. But I was wondering if anyone hear knew of or had heard of, any rumours regarding whether or not there will be a sequel to Modern Warfare 2? I was quite hoping to continue the further adventures of Messrs McTavish and Price being as I am one of the few people it seems who actually enjoyed the storyline in MW and MW2, contrived as it was.

MW3 will be done, but not by Infinity Ward, another studio has been brought in for that, I read it on the Escapist a few weeks ago. Main reason is because over 80% of Infinity Ward's staff has left when Bobby Fethface withheld them their royalties gained from MW2.

Iirc, Infinity Ward got burned by Activision and roughly half of the staff who did MW and MW2 left. Activision (obviously) want to keep MW going, but I highly doubt that any new ones will be as good as the last.

At least, I probably won't be, I didn't like MW2 much.
