Instead of finishing of my dreadnought WIP, I started a new project. A bigger reaper autocannon

I started with a sentinel autocannon

and chopped it up

keeping the end of the barrel, I drilled it out and inserted copper tube

I then drilled out a daemon head to go over the barrel too. This is a new addiction I have an I need to do it on everything, I think it is the reason I started this WIP

Barrel inserted into main part of gun.

Second sentinel gun chopped up, but as there will not be enough room for a second daemon head I didn't cut it all the way back.

I inserted more copper tube in the second gun so the barrels are the same width.

Now both parts were trimmed down so they could be glued together.

Chaos terminator flamer arm trimmed down ready to be stuck.

Arm glued to reaper, and ready for green stuff to finish it of.

Needs blade at the tip of the gun, and holes for the empty shells to come out

Any thoughts welcome.

You know, the single daemon head is pretty cool. Assymetry is very Chaos. Nice conversion, and thanks for the how-to!

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Finally, I have found away of adding a case exit hole(does anyone know the correct term for this?)to my reaper cannon.

The slot on the dread front plate is perfect, with rivets all around it for extra detail, and it is very easy to cut out keeping a straight edge

Green stuffed a couple of gaps ready to stick slots inplace.

So much easier than macking these slots from scratch or greenstuff

Not to point out a flaw, but the slot that dumps spent shells, is typically opposite the area that the shell goes in. In this case, it would be on the side of the arm, opposite the ammo drum. I say typically, because this isn't always the case, but in most cases, it is.

Anyways, using the dread view slit thing, was a prime choice. Looks great.

I know what you are saying, but I was copying the original reaper, and thats where the exit holes are, also I've done it now so thats it

hmmm, interesting use of the demon head. Looks much better than as a muzzle.

The hole the spent cases come out of is general called "the ejection port" as far as I know maybe on the next one you could try to add an ejection port between the twin drums?

Thanks, thought I would try something different, as all the other heads I used were stuck on the end of the barrels.

Next one, I would definitely try to to reposition the ammo drum. I would move the top one up a bit, then those slots would fit inbetween.

I have just started a heavy flamer to replace the one I cut up to make this reaper.

Cut up an Iron Clad dread flamer, and got another daemon head.

Yey another chaos weapon

Lost somewhere in the Face of Terror.

I love the Daemon Heads. Can't get enough of them
Love what you're doing - one thing I would have done: For the flamer/hvy flamer, i would have moved the flamer muzzle farther back into the daemon head, so that the daemon's top jaw extends slightly farther, but thats personal oppinion. Great work

Ironically, that is what the old metal heavy bolters looked like originally.

I think I preferred the heavy flamer before you did more work on it.

Thanks Nostril

I am going to attempt to green stuff a bottom jaw, extend the back of the head further back, and I will make the top jaw a bit bigger. Also I want to try putting some fangs coming down from the top jaw. Any ideas on how I would do this from anyone would be nice.

So I have taken the bolter back to the old skool without even knowing

I am gona try some sculpting on the flamer head to make it bigger, but this could go horribly wrong.

The rarefied atmosphere

I love the autocannon. It makes for a great update for the plastics as it is in the scale of the new modles and just fits. It might be a little large but it works on a terminator.

With reference to the heavy flamer, perhaps the hand and the weapon should be a bit more integrated instead of just holding it like a regular weapon. At the moment it doesn't have the gravitas of the reaper because it just looks plain and ordinary. Great work with the demon face on it. It's just a matter of merging the arm and weapon in my eyes.

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

Thanks Orinoco.

I agree with you about the arm merge, also I need to add a gas bottle to bulk it up a bit. I think I need another original heavy flamer and use the hand from that.
