So I have got hold of Thunderhawk Gunship schematics, and have decided using my extensive bits box to Scratch a build T-Hawk. I have about 15 A4 Sheets of 3mm thick Plastic Card (£15) and the weapons symbols etc are in my Biitz box. I have got hold of a Small desktop Band Saw, Small desktop belt sander and small desktop lathe all for £60 (They are normally for Wooden Ship model builders!).

So I am down to £75 thus far (but my I can use the equipment on other projects and vehicles!). I still need to get hold of two Engines I was think about the Engines of a Star Wars Pod Racer?

I think standfast the £60 on my small workshop, I can scratch build a T-hawk for about £70 (this includes pipes, wires and plastic girders etc for ANTICSONLINE ) .

Any advice on scratch building or where I can get cheap parts to make my T-Hawk look even better?

If you're looking for superdetailing, definitely Rhino doors and hatches from eBay, other than that, just rivets and stuff I suppose?

Coudl valkyrie engines work? Some bitz sites sell then in pairs pretty cheap.

Dont know about cheap parts but i cant wait to see how you get on with the project...

This guide by Clthomps from the tutorial section may help. Also I guess looking at toy space ships and such, might be some worthwhile stuff around. Really just need to keep both mind and eyes open.

a tube with a fan at the front and a smaller nozzle at the back would work, glue some bits of sprue and plates to the outside to dress it up a bit.

I am going with this guide (see the web link below) but any source material is always welcome. I am going for a Full on Build (e.g Ramps that fold down, doors that open, fully magnetised so I can Change its weapons fit also working on a Magnet underneath so I can attach Vehicles underneath...Its probably going to take upwards of 12months but I am committed and as anyone who has seen my chapter will tell you once i get my teeth into something I must finish it. Its like an addiction or OCD.

A model like this which I will tear apart for the engines which are the right scale (probably???!! )

Those Engines should hopefully be perfect but it is worth remembering that space marine equiptment/ vehicles and so forth are normaly produced on their homeworld and if the metals/ceramics arn't up to spec they will become larger bulkier as in the old wolf gurad storm bolters which were huge compared to all the other space marine terminator stormbolters of the day so if your's is larger smaller slightly different their is a good reason! its a different pattern or its made on a different p[lanet and they've tweeked the design slightly.

Mine is still WIP, using pvc pipe for engines with a cone on the rear, ill get some more pics in my gallery soon

Ok getting some interest on this one. So I'm putting the schematics in my photo section. I print each Diagram out on A4 and then glue it to the Plasticard and then cut it out with my band saw. From there, well I'll make it up as I go along.

I really want a thunderhawk but I don't know if the orks could loot one, I suppose they can loot anything so it might work out alright,,,,,,

Yeah Orks can make anything work, they are the masters of botch it, bodge it and scarper!!
