Hi guys!
first painting blog i hve made, but bear with it.
for a while now i have been working on my ork army and have decided to do some blogging. I dont have much money at the moment (I'm fifteen and dont have a job... )so there may be one or two gaps. to kick it off...
my big mek with kustom force field. probably one of the best models i have ever done.
the KFF is basically a barrel full of four leaf clovers. with the trumpets/vents/blunderbuss on the back, he sprays them out in a cloud covering all the squads near to him. the orks believe that this is lucky, and hence causes the bullets to miss them. in reality its just that the sheer wall of green stops even snipers from being able to pick them out. weapons such as flamers burn the clovers and that is how they deny cover saves. lol.
next up, the first 4 models from my first spec opps squad. these guys are based off TF2, the basic idea of a bounty hunter gang. its a squad of twenty boys so i had some trouble deciding on what each ones spcialization is. so far i have a scout (grot) a flaamer, a radio ops, a cc specialist ect ect. hope you like it.
anyway, more coming up l8ter. ive got the squad of boyz with night vision goggles, black night camo made of skintight leater and paint, wielding dual pistols. also the first of my nob bikers and a third squad of what is to be twenty boyz, the traditional spec ops with marsh bases, grass camo and camo paint+netting ect. see you then!

I really like the depth of shading on your skin, and the evil sun logo. Tasty.

I really like the big mek concept! gave me a good chuckle
Though one burning question: why the tyranid weapons?
looks a bit wierd on the bike, especially as the original owner's hand is still there.
Overall, some damn good work here!

Perhaps construct a box to take the photos in? That way you can control the lighting yourself, and the camera doesn't have to try to take the dark table into account.

Cool stuff.
I do agree about the Tyranid Theme though, I don't get it. Also, the way the clover barrel is attached to the Big Meks back looks really flimsy. You may have to do something to sort that out. I reckon thin plasticard shoulder straps would look made it look execelent. I do love the clover idea though. Incredibly original.

hi, sorry I'm late, i have been on holiday. anyway, responses:
leigen_zero/grimm: honestly, I didn't actually know that I had been doing that with the nid weapons! I just needed some guns to add on to my figures and it just so happened that the nid guns were handy, having just made some warriors. Oops! i have taken the gun off the bbiker, but the big mek will keep his (for my sanity, you understand.)
Pika_power: awesome idea, thanks, i will take that into consideration.
Grimm: I was busy working on the shoulderstraps already! I'm gonna attatch them after theyre fully painted.
thatnks for the support to everyone else, awesome comments. I will have new stuff for you by tommorow morning. until then...
whooo! GW christmas party!
bye
