I got these new models that I want to try to use in my next Apoc game. Let me know what you guys think. Basically, they are Gargantuan Creatures with the base statline (with slight modifications depending on the god):

Baseline Stat: WS7 BS3 S8 T7 W6 I5 A5 Ld10 4++ Inv

Unit: 1 Abomination

Type: Gargantuan Creature

------------------------------------------------------------------------

The 4 Abominations of Chaos

These monsters are creatures of pure destruction and carnage. They exist purely to spread more chaos throughout the multi-verse. Little is known about them or their origins, except that there is an avatar for each of the 4 Gods of Chaos. Why they were created, no one knows. Librarians have speculated that the Chaos Gods are highly competitive and paranoid in nature. When one abomination was created, the other 3 gods must have consequently created their own abominations lest they find themselves at a disadvantage in the never-ending war between the chaos gods. With the exception of the Daemon Lords, the Abominations thwarf all other daemons, greater or lesser, in size and power.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Abominations may be used either with the Chaos Daemons codex or the Chaos Space Marines codex. If used with Chaos Daemons, they have the following Special Rule:

Daemonic Assault: Abominations enter play using the Daemonic Assault rules found in the Chaos Daemons codex.

If used in a Chaos Space Marine army, they have the following special rule:

Possession: An Abomination must possess another model to enter the battlefield. See the rules for Summoning Daemons from the Chaos Space Marine codex.

In addition, all Abominations have the following Special Rules:

Agile: Abominations are extremely fast and agile adversaries. In the Shooting Phase, it may choose to either:

- Fire more than 1 gun.
- Fire only 1 gun and move an extra D6".
- Fire no weapons and move an extra 2D6".

The Abomination may assault after running (as per Fleet).

Fearsome: An Abomination is terrifying to look at and fills his foes with an unnatural dread. If an enemy unit has to take a Morale check after losing a close combat with the Abomination, they must do so at -1 Leadership.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Abomination of Khorne

550pts

WS10 BS- S8 T7 W6 I5 A6 Ld10 3+/4++ Inv

Special Rules:

Furious Charge

Hatred of Khorne: Such is the savagery of its attacks that it has the Prefered Enemy USR.

Iron Hide: As per Chaos Daemons codex.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Abomination of Nurgle

550pts

WS7 BS3 S8 T8 W7 I3 A5 Ld10 4++ Inv

Cloud of Flies: As per Chaos Daemons codex.

Nurgling Infestation: The Abomination is infested with Nurglings. In fact, they grow within him and burst through spores in his skin to feast upon his rotten flesh and oozing pus. While in close combat, the Nurglings will swarm over the Abomination's enemies. He gains an extra D6+3 attacks at Strength 3 and Initiative 3 in close combat.

Vomit of Pestilence: The Abomination of Nurgle may spit forth a stream of corrosive, highly-toxic substance with the following profile:

Vomit of Pestilence - Template S5 AP3 Assault 1

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Abomination of Slaanesh

550pts

WS8 BS3 S8 T7 W6 I8 A6 Ld10 4++ Inv

Aura of Aquiescence: As per Chaos Daemons codex.

Pavane of Slaanesh: As per Chaos Daemons codex.

Phase Rending: The claws of the Abomination of Slaanesh are so deadly that they can shave through any defenses like a hot knife through butter. Any wound rolls of '6' in assault ignores all armor and invulnerable saves.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Abomination of Tzeentch

600pts

WS6 BS4 S8 T7 W6 I5 A4 Ld10 3++ Inv

Breath of Chaos: As per Chaos Daemons codex.

Bolt of Tzeentch: As per Chaos Daemons codex, however, with the following profile:

Bolt of Tzeentch 24" S8 AP1 Assault 1D6

Boon of Mutation: As per Chaos Daemons codex.

This is pretty cool, but I would make them all 550pts.

Done. I left the Abomination of Tzeentch at 600pts as I felt his improved Inv save makes him slightly more powerful and, thusly, more expensive.

I quite like the look of them, suits apocalypse down to a Tee, and would look great in a Undivided army, with each Abomination leading their own contingent of their Gods Daemons.

Originally, that was the plan. Then one of the Chaos players dropped out and now I'm afraid the 4 contingents will be very, very uneven. Oh well, we'll use whatever we've got. At least we still have the 4 Daemon Lords.

why is the abomination of slaanesh only WS7 and I6? Keepers are WS8 and I10, and based on your descriptions the aboms should at least have each and every stat on par if not better than a GD, at 550 the Abom of slaanesh needs WS8 I10. id rather take 2 keepers and use them as a tandem.

Khorne needs WS10 (as per bloodthirsters) etc etc. if you are going to make them the "demon of demons" then they need to have a better statline across the board than the GDs in the demon codex

Originally, I wanted to keep their cost around 500-600pts. That's why I modified their stats slightly from the baseline to avoid making them too overpowering (and costly). So basically, I allowed a variation of about 2pts from the baseline to try to keep their costs low. But I could make them more like the greater daemons and compensate their stat increases by decreasing some of the other stats.

Also, keep in mind that the abomination doesn't necessarily have to always succeed their counterparts in stats. For example, the abomination of Khorne is a creature of pure destruction whereas a bloodthirster is more a beast of war. The bloodthirster's WS10 could represent it's skill in battle whereas the abomination's lower WS represents the fact that it just beats it's target to death without much regard for strategy. Likewise, the abomination of Slaanesh is agile, but it doesn't necessarily have to be faster than a KoS due to its bulk and size.

With that said, I will try to make their stats more closer to their counterparts.

Abomination of Khorne - 550pts

WS10 BS- S8 T7 W6 I5 A6 Ld10 3+/4++ Inv

Abomination of Nurgle - 550pts

WS7 BS3 S8 T8 W7 I3 A5 Ld10 4++ Inv

Abomination of Slaanesh - 550pts

WS8 BS3 S7 T7 W6 I8 A6 Ld10 4++ Inv

Abomination of Tzeentch - 600pts

WS6 BS4 S8 T7 W6 I5 A4 Ld10 3++ Inv
