Hello dakka, i have been late posting here but im here to share the love none the less.

I got my hand on the new dark eldar reavers to paint up for my LGS and figured i would do a vlog on my progress painting them.

so far this is what i have to show.

Interesting, I was toying with the idea of using hawk turquoise on mine, as I wanted to attempt the scheme on the box. I was thinking of washing with thraka green to make it look a little less blue.

It looks great, not exactly the same as codex yet, in my eyes it looks fine. still going to be highlighting the edging when the model is almost done. dreading the fact that its so time consuming. so far its turning out great. i cant wait until they are finished.

also about the green wash. it tends to be kind of glossy so i would mix the wash with the paint instead of applying it over the areas. if you get some on the black (or whatever the base color is ) it might look a bit funky. use the wash as a water substitute for the edging.

Damn those are greatlooking models >< i probably gonna get 1 box of those just for the sheer coolness of i t. i might the a red or purple version of it

question is the head separated from the body in the sprue??? oh and will it properly on regular standing model with out being awkward because it supposed to be leaning abit?

Yess they are. its just like building a marine, arms are separate, 2 piece torso, arms, and legs. the new flying bases are awesome! there is a little ball that lets it pivot freely. makes the other flying stands cry.
