So I've started on my Guard Regiment fluff ( http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/323487.page ). I will soon start on the actual regiment. However, part of their fluff involves a special variety of Feral Orks that inhabit their world, which have caused problems for them in the past. I wish to create stats for these Orks, so that I can create a very simple codex sample for them. I remember the old 3rd edition Feral Orks, but they were more shooty than choppy, and that's not what these guys are. They are not in any way really supposed to be a competitive list. They're supposed to be "goddamn orks!" for use in scenarios where Tanhausen PDF units need to defend key locations from damage. In the fluff (for which I can be a bunny) they spend most of their time fighting each other, and their equipment reflects this. They'll be represented with Fantasy Orks. They have no Gunz, Flashy Bitz or Bangy Bitz (guns, armor or any explosives).

TROOPS
Basic Boyz in 40k have the following stats: WS4 BS2 S3 T4 W1 A2 I2 LD7 Sv6+. They're 6/model.

I am thinking Tanhausen Orks would be tougher, perhaps: WS4 BS2 S3 T5 W1 A2 I2 LD7 Sv6+. They're tougher than your normal Ork, because of the tough climate they're from. I've also considered making them either stronger (s4) or faster (I3), and leaning towards the latter if either at all. The above stats are worth what, 7 or 8/model? They keep Mob Rule and Furious Charge (like every other unit that gets it), but lose Waagh (like every other unit that gets it). Instead, Boyz are always Fleet.

Weapons are traditional Choppas, big choppas. Spears would be just choppa in this case I suppose.

FAST ATTACK
Mounted Boyz. They'd be on a boar (which are big and nasty on Tanhauser). Same above stats, but with a Hunting Lance that strikes at I5, hits at +2 strength on the charge but only works on the first charge (the spears break). They gain fleet but keep the other abilities. 20/model.

ELITES
Nobz. Got the same stats as current Nobz, except theyz tuffa; 5 toughness, access to 'Eavy Armor for a +4 save. Apparently it's just metal plates. 24 points/model, plus I guess about 3 a model for the 'Eavy Armor. Can be mounted on boars for +12(?) a model, which gives them a hunting spear, fleet.

HQ
Boss. Same stats as the current boss, can be mounted for +15, can wear 'eavy armor for about 5.

I could also just grab the stats off of a fantasy rulebook but I don't have one and I am bored :/

T5 seems a bit much; if I were you, I'd simply make them I3 and about 8pts/ model. The Mounted Boyz, Nobz and Boss are fine. Can the infantry boyz have a Nob to lead their mob?

Yep; they can take a Nob; forgot about that.

You could give them a 5+ save standard to represent their thick hide. And since you're going against IG, you go from having a 16% chance to avoid a death to a 33% chance of avoiding death. Pretty good!

I like that idea; dropping T5 for Sv 5+.

I'd step it up a bit. Make it so that they have no limit to the number of times that they can call WAAAAUGH, but due to their special training against the orks, the guardsmen are presumed to always shoot their lasguns as if they were FRFing, and they get preferred enemy when fighting their ancient orkish nemesis.
